Yeah, have posted this elsewhere but his 20% turnover percentage is incredibly high for a point. More like a post player. His ATO ratio doesn't seem to get anywhere close to 2.0.

But, you know what they say at Clutchfans, right? He's a much better passer and playmaker than Aaron Brooks. Just... because.

Don't the Suns play a much higher tempo game? Typically that means more and faster passes, which often results in higher TO rate. I will reserve judgement when I see what kind of passes he makes. I already seen all the passing Brooks can do and I was far from impressed. At any rate, Dragic knows what his role is... backup.

People who complain about this trade are completely missing the point. It was all but set in stone that Brooks would be gong one way or another. 1. He'd had an attitude ever since Lowry took his starting job. 2. He'd been sucking for a while. 3. He's due for a hefty raise which Rox may not afford or may not be willing to offer.

Sooooo, anything we can get for Brooks is a win in my book. A player that some say is a better player? AND a pick? Icing on the cake.

To those who haven't seen much of GD

Phoenix bench play was pretty resilient and nearly got the best of the Lakers championship team last year I guess
Dragic played like he was on crack in some games

This. It was garbage even then.

We should all make an effort once trading season comes back around in the summer to cut through the BS, the sales pitches, the NBA teams leveraging media... the Rockets planned on moving Brooks and he was the most likely candidate to be moved from about the time Lowry signed. Hoopsworld "reported" (and people quoted them) that AB was the last Rocket that Houston wanted to move, and would only move him for an All-Star. Obviously, that wasn't true.

i think it was a good trade seeing is how brooks obviously didn't like playing second fiddle to lowry and just flat out didn't want to be here..we weren't going to sign him or battier in the off-season anyway..so why not try to get something in return for them.. dragic has shown that he can play in the nba..the guy scored 23 points in a quarter in the playoffs last year..

good trade for dragic..ok trade for thabeet..we needed a big man and we got one..

Didn't also Aaron and his manager say they were totally surprised by the trade

something they were told would not happen...

I've read that somewhere here, I think it was the Brooks interview on the radio

Kelvin Caton got 6-7 blocks in his first nba game. Its dangerous to judge a player with one fantastic night. Aaron Brooks was averaging about 20. This trade is ****. But I do like the thabeet trade. We arn't going to be contenders anytime soon and battier is just getting older. Thabeet had the highest number of blocked shots per 48 and the 2nd most blocked shots per game from any rookie. I think this guy has some upside.

You know Phoenix fans like to say? Especially on youtube?

    The Dragon lives in Phoenix.

Now the Dragon lives in Houston.

I like Dragic a lot, especially after his performance against the Spurs. He is a very solid pick up by Morey, and the pick makes it all the better.

I like the trade since we were going to lose Aaron for nothing. However, what scares me about Dragic, other than his turnovers, is his free throw shooting. He's shooting 61% this year. His % has gone down every year since he's been in the league.

Does anyone seriously believe the moves today were anything less than a white flag in regards to this season's playoffs? I'm an Anti-Tanker, but I've thrown up my hands in surrender. Lose those games, Rockets! You know you can do it!!

(I'm really going to be watching the games and cheering them on, but the playoffs? It would be a bloody miracle!)

Lets see.... this is what every team knows...

    1. Brooks will be a free agent and command 8-10 million a year for 4-5 years

    2. He is not a great teammate

    3. He is having a down year

    4. The Rockets would not re-sign him

The fact the Rockets got a good back up point guard, at a low cap #, and a #1 pick is pretty impressive.
