From the look of things he might be another defensive wing McHale can't play because he doesn't provide enough shooting to space the floor, ie keep on trucking with Garcia & Casspi.

Brooks had to approve the trade.

He obviously chose more playing time in search of another contract.

Brooks will approve. He'll get more PT in Denver, I assume.

Probably the biggest takeaway from this deal honestly unless there is another deal out there that is bringing back another PG (most notably Rondo) but its doubtful... you'd think we would have heard something by now. I think that was probably the big splash we have all been waiting for unless there is another small deal about to close involving maybe Brewer.

True. And it was obvious at the time that the T-Rob deal was also to clear as much space as possible to go after Dwight Howard. I don't think there are any cap implications with this move. Just an attempt to get more depth where we need it most.

I have a hunch Morey did this trade to keep his trade deadline streak going...

He probably wants more playing time to showcase himself so he doesn't have to play in China again. I watched his mini docu on living in China. Dude was living off gas station sausages his whole time there.

Not sure if anyone posted this already, but I just read this earlier this morning and I find it funny now:

“This is the only year I’m not worried about the trade deadline,” Brooks said. “I’m cool (in Houston). I’m happy. It’s a good situation. I made that decision (to choose the Rockets over opportunities to get more playing time.) I’m happy in Houston.”

It's business, and Brooks had to approve the trade. So, I don't see a problem with it.

Brooks is the tallest PG in Denver.
