Hook 'em Jordan! It's nice to have a Longhorn on the Rockets. I watched him at Texas and he certainly showed explosive potential on offense. Solid rebounder for his position. Problem is he tends to disengage himself from the game and was terrible defensively. Haven't followed him much in the NBA so maybe he's improved on that front. Either way, it's a nice trade for us. Brooks obviously wasn't getting playing time and he gets an opportunity to jack up shots with Nate Robinson. Hamilton helps address a position with poor depth and he can definitely get hot from three. If Lin or Beverley were to ever get injured, Canaan is next on board (all this assuming no more trades are made).
I don't understand why they aren't using Covington. He's proven to have great potential as an additional long wing.
He could be our "Reggie Jackson" except as a small forward/shooting guard. 3:18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuBFz08G5h8
i guess i just don't understand what Jordan Hamilton gets us that Brewer already doesn't. BTW: AB is incredibly undervalued.
I expect one maybe two more deals. This makes Brewer expendable with a player who is younger, a better 3 point shooter and who still has a lot of athleticism and room to develop. Hate too see AB leave but Rockets have to be high on Canaan.

Brewer+Smith for J-Craw?
Probably considering the circumstances, but its still a must have to get the court-side one in any deal regardless just cause well.... Its Morey.
I think this is a somewhat risky move for a contending team. Trading a guy you know can help you win playoff games for an unproven player. You cross your fingers that Bev and Lin stay healthy.
Good for AB! He'll get playing time in Denver. He and Ty Lawson might be the fastest starting/backup PG combo in the league.
