White and Machado are going to carve defenses up on a nightly basis. Unfortunately, they may turn it over a few times along the way.
They could be a good tandem in practice; they have complementary skills and can learn from each other. They're both very competitive. Let's hope Machado's self-confidence is overblown and that they'll be great teammates.
Yeah I hope so too. Lin could show his some of his offensive moves & Scott could show some of his no look passes. I hope they really build some chemistry with one another. I think the whole Machado thing is overblown to be honest.
Machado's not an NBA player. The only point guards to ever succeed with such a low level of athleticism have had extraordinary abilities. Steve Nash, for example, is possibly the greatest shooter of all time.
Cool, a potential back up PG that can pass. May not be supremely athletic but can definitely pass and take care of the ball. Now how about them PF's??
Why don't you give him a minute before we completely disown him. You think Nash was mr 50/40/90 right off the bat in his rookie year. Not saying Machado is going to be some great point guard but he is just a rookie he can improve over time.
If extraordinary passing ability is the only asset, it just wont cut it in NBA. He still has to become a scoring threat first in order for his passing to be affective. If a player is a defensive specialist, capable of locking down, that's a different story. Every team needs a lock down defender. I personally care more about his defensive ability than his passing ability.
i guess the signing makes more sense now that Lull has resigned until 2018 http://encestando.es/sergio-llull-e...d-hasta-2018-la-salida-hacia-la-nba-olvidada/
Doubt one had anything to do with the other. They had said all along that next Summer would have been the best time to bring Sergio over. Plus, Machado is on a contract that makes it very easy for the Rockets to cut him whenever they want to with very little cost implication. Very similar to that of Greg Smith or Courtney Fortson. I wouldn't be surprised if they signed him planning all along to send him to RGV all or most of next year.
So our second unit could be Machado Lamb Royce Terrence Donatas All rookies. Could be ugly but at least they'll run the floor well. It'll be fun to watch. I like the signing.
I think Machado should model his game after Andre Miller. Not a great shooter but great passer, can run the offense. see's the floor well. Dre isn't crazy athletic either.
