I know. I’ve been saying it for over a month now. But he is something like a 5th option.
I guess Harden/CP3 are better more efficient options which can pass better..making players
around them better. I need to look up Ryno ast%.

Definitely a viable option in the playoffs vs Curry. Ryno our secret weapon. Lol

Johnson will be vital for a Spurs playoff matchup. His mid range is great and he knows how to manipulate defenders around the paint. He shields off bigs behind him and shoots floaters like Harden.

This signing can fix the problem this team has when defenses go small. Feed ISO Joe and and he'll eat small guards alive in the post forcing teams to double and Joe will kick out.

To be honest, can we use Joe to replace Anderson when he isn't giving us anything?

I believe so. Since Cousins went out for the season, most threats of big PF/Center combinations have diminished.
Because Boogie and Davis could shoot for distance.

LMA & Gasol are soft defenders with limited range shooting. We can go with. Calepa/Ryan or Capela/Nene.
Because the Spurs score so few points.

Rockets can go small vs most contenders. I believe Morey recognizes this. Went with versatile big in Wright
over a big “BIG” such as Bogut. For defensive reasons on the perimeter.

Three things in regards to Joe Johnson stands out from last season:

    1. He shot just as well from as Steph Curry from behind the arc.

    2. His defense against Chris Paul in the playoffs.

    3. Luc (who played for the Clippers last season) was assigned to guard Iso Joe in the playoffs and couldn't hold him.

His outstanding play in the playoffs last season led his team to the conference finals. I would say "sign him up." But the Rockets are already about to.

We only have to cut one player, I thought.

I'd say Black OR Williams since Williams has the partial guarantee. I'd keep Black since we're fairly loaded at the wing. I just don't see Williams ever breaking the rotation now or the future. Black can at least be insurance if needed.

Onuaku, on the other hand, is likely salary filler for any trades this summer.

Hopefully we can end up starting him over anderson. I think ryno would do better with the second unit.

No doubt. Ryan Anderson is always ready if needed to handle the guys Tucker and Luc can’t. Never know. Tucker
and Luc might twist an ankle or something.

No sense in letting the $19 mil dollar man just sit there on the bench. But also no need to feature Ryan as trade bait.
Move him to the second team or so.
