    It just occurred to me that James Anderson:
    - played for the Spurs in his first few years
    - is a shooting guard
    - wears #11
    - can be had for cheap

    Why does this remind you of? Hint: looks a bit like him at first glance in the photo on Chronicle rockets page.

    His career curve is somewhat similar to Patterson's: Showed a lot of promise in rookie season, suffered an injury and had trouble regaining his form, showed promise again this season( but Spurs team is so loaded to have any room).

    He's the only good shooting guard to wear 11 for Houston and the only one who played with the spurs so.......easy...

    The Spurs just couldn't afford 2 pay his buyout plus contract.
