Actually, I would not be at all surprised if Bobby Jones plays some spot minutes for the team this week. Defensively, he is the perfect temporary replacement for Bonzi. Plus, lots of players signed to 10-day contracts get playing time because they are coming from the D-League, where they were getting regular playing time and are in a nice rhythm. For instance, Aaron Brooks's play got much better right when he came back from the D-League. This is a pretty smart move. Haluska had no future with the team, so waiving him now is no loss. Bobby Jones could serve a nice role for this team as a defensive specialist. If he works out, great. The team can sign him for the remainder of the season. If not, he's gone in 10 days and the team can turn its attention to trying to add someone like Brent Barry.
Green is a lanky 6"8. He still hasn't learned how to play defense, that's usually the case with people that don't at least make some sorta pit stop in college. Green is a project that Morey is familiar with, hopefully he becomes motivated enough in his hometown to mold himself into a complete player.

He was a solid defender at Washington and at Denver but he doesn't bring much on the offensive end. I would compare him a little to Bruce Bowen. He needs to work on his jumpsot. There's a good chance he can make this squad with his hustle and defense.
If I remember correct, I saw Bobby Jones play on the same team with Brandon Roy. I remembered thinking then he was very underrated for what he brought to the table on both ends. Roy was getting all the props but I liked Jones too.
This further tells you coaching staff didnt want to trade Bonzi. Now they are finding a Bonzi clone. Future my azz.
Lol, now I am convinced that managment is having a man crash on Bobby Sura, other wise, I can't explain why we obtain both Bobby Jackson and Bobby Jones...
Even on the rare occasions when BrooksBall decides NOT to respond to a posting, he still feels the need to respond to it to publicly declare his intention NOT to respond.
Bobby Jones had a good game in this one http://broadband.nba.com/cc/playa.p...a/nbacom/lp_archives/20080118_578.asx&gid=578
