i dont think that matters...my20 is showing the game, and i would take listening to bill, bull, and clyde any day over the other fact ridden commentators...
Look at it this way... If we win the series, all 4 of the second games should be on national TV because we are playing Kobe Bryant. The only reason i dont care is because my friend has NBAtv and that is where I have been watching every playoff game so far anyway. Otherwise, I would be pissed.
we'll never get nat'l tv appearances when the game is in portland because portland is on the west coast and they're in the same time slot as the Lakers. obviously espn and tnt are going to pick the lakers with the biggest fan base in the nba. we got nat'l tv the last 2 games b/c they played in houston and had no other teams to compete with. dont worry once we play the lakers we'll be on abc, tnt, espn every game.
We won't have to listen to the Blazers announcers for Tuesday's game 5. Rick Kamla and Steve Smith will call the action for NBATV.
I agree with you on everything except that Boston v. Chicago is by far the better series than Dallas v. San Antonio.
Kamla is super entertaining, too bad the game will be blacked out in Houston(not like I have NBATV anyway)
Maybe this is good. . . .then the major networks won't be tempted to RIDE ROY'S . .. .. uhm . . . jock . . . .to a victory for portland Rocket River
Thank god. I can only imagine how bitter the portland media is down 3-1. The portland commentators were already talking about how they weren't calling fouls on Yao in game 2.
It is now... but before the playoffs people weren't expecting anything out of the Bulls, while a Spurs/Mavs series was more of a toss-up.
dang last time we lost on nbatv i hope this isnt the case this time.....dont want to prolong this series.
Well, you'd think that NBA TV would inform the local crew of the broadcast they're picking up and say, 'Clean it up for the national audience' - ie, keep the homerism to a minimum... I think Worrell and Clyde transfers pretty well nationally. But the Portland announcers had no shame. They didn't feel particularly bad for Deke when he went down.
