We have to improve somehow...there isnt an endless pool of above average players...guys continue to settle in to new situations..we gotta get going or will waste Harden's prime..

Yeah, i dont think their plan is to pair them up...one or the other.

Marvin Williams alone will be better than him, and probably cheaper, same with Deng, and maybe there're others, i'm not going to make you a list right now but again, what's so special about this guy to justify a max or close to it? In what and/or how many aspects of the game he's that good other than being a good (nothing more) 3pt shooter? Please enlighten us.

    Yeah,

James Anderson's career high also was playing against the Rockets.

Maybe Morey should max him out also.

That's been my concern as well. That would pretty much wip out the available cash and you would have the players left on the roster available for trade to try to make any addition roster adjustments.

As long as the moves make improvements to the team and don't handcuff us in the future, I'm all for it, no matter who the actual players are. I still trust Morey to do precisely that.

Get me Dudley and Marvin or Deng for the price of Ryno.

Anderson's defense is bad, but Teletovic can't even guard a shadow.

Dudley likes to talk and talking too much and I always have this fear that he will pig out with Harden often and it will not end well.

So really not that much of a choice.

BTW, what is Dmo's 3PT shooting last season?

Assuming Rhyno is getting something in the range of 17/20, give me everyone of these guys at what they're probably going to get, even Mirza at 5/6/8 would be better, just no way Morey is going to pay Anderson 80 million for the next four years...unless...

I would be fine with the Rockets signing Anderson to a reasonable deal in the $15 million-$18 million range... IF they don't also sign Horford. A Horford/Anderson front court would get slaughtered on the glass. I want no part of that.

    D-Mo:
    16-57(.281) last year
    49-133(.368) year before
    110-357(.308) for his career

Mavs nor Anderson have any interest in each other:

Would have been great under McHale. Not sure about under D'Antoni

The plan was Harden, Howard, and another elite player. That didn't pan out, and it really blew up in their face, making Les and Morey look incompetent.

Now, with only two years left with Harden as a Rocket, Houston is not viewed as a good landing spot for the top free agents. Let's see what Morey can do. But, surrounding Harden with a bunch of average players isn't going to accomplish anything.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Morey has already started to plan for the summer of 2018.

Not really too excited about Anderson. Whatever, let's see what Morey can do.

Anderson's bench scoring punch would have had us in the top 4 last season, we lacked his kind of production

How are you so sure when we dont even have a starting C? Capela nearly fouls out in limited minutes. You think he can hold down the C position with 34-38mpg?

I think a front court rotation of Horford, Capela and Motiejunas would give the Rockets a lot of flexibility for big or small lineups. I can definitely see Horford getting 10+ minutes at the 5 on occasion and Capela probably not playing more than 25 minutes on average over the course of the season until he can prove he deserves 30+ minutes a night.
