To be fair, she is close to being on the classic beauty's thread, if you know what I mean. I mean, just saying.
and Tatum has been coached by Coach K at Duke, Brad Stevens, Pop in the Olympics, and Joe Mazzula so for Tatum to say that holds weight this isn’t a Jalen Green throwing platitudes about Silas, meanwhile his coaches have been whoever the hell was his high school and AAU coach, Brian Shaw in the G-League, and Silas
You’re probably right, but Udokas Celtics team wasn’t “great” on offense apart from the two studs. He did install a very good defensive mindset which ultimately would be Silas’ undoing. My point is that you could have had almost anyone with a semblance of coaching experience look like a great coach with that assortment of players and even more as they reached their primes. Udoka didn’t coach them when they were kids. Stevens, Udoka and Mazzoula were all praised as good coaches thanks to the players. Same with Nurse - with Kawhi he’s a genius. Without not so much. I think some ROX fans are just caught in a thirst trap. Who has the experience taking snot nosed youngsters and molding them into a playoff team? That’s what we need.
I don’t agree with this. Talent of course helps, but if u put Steve Nash in Boston right now, they aren’t getting close to the same results. It could be that Joe Mazulla is also just a really good coach as well. Boston has already shown a knack for identifying good up and coming coaches with Stevens, Udoka, and now Joe. Nobody was under the impression that McHale was good because Harden was carrying his ass to 50+ wins and playoff berths/WCF appearances. Boston was +4000 to win a title and had the 4th best odds to make out of the East heading into last year’s season. not only did Udoka right the ship and lead the locker room after a very slow start, he had that team ranked 1st in offense and 1st in defense post-ASB, then led them to the finals for the 1st time since 2010…Why isn’t the narrative that Joe Mazzula is just piggy backing off of what Ime established last year?
What I like most about Tatum and Brown’s statements regarding Udoka is that by all accounts, he got on their ass and held them and the rest of the team accountable…yet he was still their favorite coach it’s not a situation where they loved him because he was some nice guy pushover who let them do whatever the hell they wanted aka the stereotypical “players coach” playing and coaching under Pop, he knows how to relate to players while also leading and holding them accountable
If we take Vogel over Udoka that's going to be a worse fumble than Green over Mobley yeah I'm going there
I don’t really think Mazzula is anything special either Somebody was going to capitalize on two top NBA players hitting their primes at the same time (that actually enjoy playing with each other). Boston has a loaded, complimentary roster. Not an ego riddled team like Brooklyn with Nash. Maybe Ainge deserves more credit he’s the guy that put that whole thing together for BOS — multiple times. McHale won 54&56 games with a dysfunctional team. MDA did a little better with a more finely tuned engine for his style of play but the legendary brilliance of Harden brought McHale the best records he ever had as a coach. MDA was super close to knocking off that GS dynamo that just had more higher caliber players at the same time. Is Steve Kerr a brilliant coach? Will he become bad when Steph breaks down? It’s usually a right place, right time affair with great teams/dynasties and coaches. A good coach is important no doubt about it. I don’t think Silas was a good overall coach. I think Udoka is a fine coach, but my bias wins out when there are other candidates just as “good” and when I have the opinion that one in particular already has the experience and a plan for a situation like ours. Dudes got all offended when I laughed at the ease with which it’s cool to overlook Udokas entanglement and keep riding our own KPJ and his issues. Just shows how divided the board continues to be. If Udoka becomes coach - cool hopefully he will be on his best behavior the same way KPJ has been and everyone wins. Or Udoka trades KPJ for a “pure pg” and if the result is still winning I’ll be a pig in mud. I don’t really care that much to be wrong it’s happened plenty, but I’ll always laugh at the hypocrisy of this place - thats my right too.
Mobley is who he is because of the team and situation. I bet you he would have sucked a lot if the Rockets drafted him.
difference is that Udoka actually has some results as a HC and leading a locker room even if it’s for 1 year Luka was a 2nd year player praising Silas…What does he really know about coaching in the NBA at that point? Steph’s comments were nice, but I have never doubted that Silas is probably a good assistant coach and did some good things working 1 on 1 with players. He just wasn’t cut out to be a HC and juggle all the extra responsibilities that come with it.
You have obviously never “dated” a Mormon girl. If a Mormon girl is willing to “date” a non-Mormon, then she has amazing skills in my experience.
