Rockets to face Thunder in 1st Round

Turner discontinued the switch everything defense when Bzdelik left.

Turner's replacement defensive system sucked.

Rockets started playing switch everything defense again right before the Capela trade.

And yes, Capela was very much part of the problem vs. GSW, Bucks, Lakers, etc.

2 non shooters on the court at same time was a disaster.

 

This bbs has a meltdown after every loss. It seems the quality of posts and threads (in the Rockets section) have gone more downhill year after year since Lin signed that contract.

5 whole days certainly helps us out there. Hopefully, Russ miss at most 2 games. I guess we'll see. Days between each game too so that helps.

The people that often ask why do they always put the rockets last got their wish first round. All these early day games.

I have a very bad feeling. CP3 was scoping us out vs. the Bucks. He's going to be extra motivated. Gordon is still trash too.

 

If Eric Gordon doesn’t average 20+ then no way we would have made it all the way through

 

Who would have thought that a CP3 led team would be so bad in transition.

This is an opportunity area for the Rockets.

 

If we can’t beat the team we were supposed to win out on the trade in the first round. , then the trade sucked and time to rebuild.

Just relax. We are better than them. We have the best and second best player on the court.

 

No idea how this will go without WB, feels 50/50 considering our stubborn gameplan and size.

Bring House, Rivers, Gordon off the bench and rotate starting frontcourt as needed. Man, I wish Luc was ready, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of Carroll.

Yup, and thinking he should start. Harden, McL, and Green are deadly around one another, and Tucker & Cov will defend, rebound, and round it out. I don't like Gordon starting, and think he should come in with Rivers on 2nd squad, with some House energy.

I am shocked some of you guys are saying this will be easy. We simply will not score enough points to win any of these games. Christ this was already going to be the toughest first round match up for us anyway, with Russ.

Edit: and y’all will see Jeff Green is not who you think he is. Gallo is far superior to Green, and Gallo is solid but not great.

 

Man....don't write us off before we even play a game. OKC in 5? That's really disrespectful.

 

I think they should do both, figure out which combo works best.
