At one point last year the Mavs had the #1 ORTG ever, the Rockets the year before that, and the Warriors the year before that. It's not that Ty Lue is an amazing coach, it's that the game has changed. And having two top-10 players doesn't hurt.
You think Lue was ever coming to this shitshow instead of the Clippers? He probably bailed as soon as he heard about Morey leaving
No, he wanted out once his main enabler Morey resigned. The expectation isn't to compete this year anyway
Meh. Harden ultimately left due to talent not coaching. Silas seems like a better rebuilding coach and more of a Tilman coach (relatively inexpensive).
JEHj endorsed Silas. Westbrook did, as well. Silas’ ‘failures’ are not on him. How the guys on the court are competing, scrapping, that’s on him. SS is just fine. On court talent is not.
A committee of Don Nelson, Lenny Wilkins, Gregg Popvich, Jerry Sloan, Pat Riley, and Larry Brown wouldn't have this team above .500 with this big-man-less roster and these injuries and load management.
Harden needed to go. The Rockets needed a culture change. Our organization is in a better situation with him and Morey gone
Shitty offense is on Silas too. Even WITH Harden, Silas wanted to run offense thru Wall and play Harden off ball. Mind boggling.
The only way that Harden and a very healthy Wall could have co- existed would be by taking turns in running the offense along with a top notch frontcourt all star. That was impossible in Houston unfortunately.
Wall was not deserving of co-equal status with Harden. Coming off 2 year layoff, not able to play B2B, nevermind he was not nearly as skilled or as productive. That was a ridiculous scenario and strategy to begin with, Silas being silly. Harden was and should have been option ONE. Wood as option TWO. While Wall is and always should have been the 3rd best player.
As opposed to watching this vomitus? Silas wasn't watching or learning very well then. Pure stupidity, like some posters.
Honestly who cares, JVM is still available and Lue never comes without Harden and Harden checked out at the end of the bubble when MDT and Morey did as well.
Ben Simmons had 42 at the center position. Point center.. we should have taken the sixers package. Him and wood together would have been nice. Ben is a center !
Honestly wall shoulda have been benched for Eric Gordon who's a much better fit. Wall probably should have been our 6th man. I woulda started Harden Gordon House Tucker Wood.
