I just watched this vid on ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4924836) Man those guys were GUSHING over Carl Landry! Man, I pray this trade works out....

As far as Lebron staying in Cleveland, the Jamison trade pretty much sealed his fate. He is going to stay in Cleveland with an aging Shaq? I don't see Cleveland being able to sign bigtime free agents like Bosh or Stoudemire any easier than The Knicks...

The Knicks have a huge market and it's a desirable place to play. The Knicks would have a harder time getting Wade out of the sunny beaches of Miami than getting Lebron from 1 cold place to another in my opinion.

If Lebron wants to be the 1st billion dollar player, he signs with the Knicks next season. The marketing money alone is off the charts.

Draft picks and the possibility of Hill becoming a rotation player being added to this deal to me cements it as a good deal now. For those that are unhappy with it, I don't know what to say.

But you can't go over the cap for free agents. Only for current players on your team.

You forgot Andersen who will be playing over Armstrong. I'm not sure Armstrong even stays. He could get cut.

On paper that looks like a SOLID lineup. Not sure how this affects our Chemistry though.

he'll make endorsements regardless, freaking charles barkley has played in what? a decade and he can still get taco bell commercials......in order to get to a billion he needs to market himself as a nba champion which isnt going to happen if he goes to ny by himself.....

what endorsement money cant he get now, that he will be able to get in nyc? if anything it's a risk to go to ny and then suck which hurts his stock.

Stoudamire? I don't claim to know the future, but lets not just assume that Donnie Walsh is a bungling idiot. I pray that this deal works out for the Rockets. I am a die hard to the bone Rockets fan. I'm actually counting on Kevin Martin and Jordan Hill working out more than those draft picks( which right now is some High School Junior or Senior ala those one and done college kids). I am a Carl Landry fan, but a Rockets fan first, so lets see.....

In the event LeBron comes to NY and leads the Knicks from the darkness into the playoffs, I still think Houston made out BIG. Why? Because Jared Jeffries is practially already an expiring contract. Houston will also have Battier coming off the books next year, in addition to Yao. Do you know who is a FA in the Summer of 2011? His name is Kevin Durant. On top of that, Morey has shown the ability to pick above average role players with late draft picks.

Either way you look at it the Rockets are set up nicely going forward.

You make your argument based on said players not leaving their teams and then you anticipate Kevin Durant leaving The Thunder who are currently #6 in the West Playoffs? Makes no sense.

Looks like NY is poised to sign two max next year. If they can snatch Bosh or Wade first, LeBron will follow. Then you have boston all over again. This is why I don't value the two picks that highly, not yet.
