Cannot believe we get Martin, Jeffries, 2011 1st round pick and 2012 1st round pick via Marc Stein.

Unbelievable. even though jeffries contract us up after next. We will have bargaining chips this time next year with battier, jeffries, 2 to 3 1st round picks, and other players. Morey is a genius.

Morey continues to surprise me time and time again. I hope we keep this guy around for a long long time. Can't believe we got picks and Hill, absolutely unbelievable.

    so basically we got
Tmac for Jeffries, Hill, right to swap first round pick of 11, and Knick's 2012 pick.
Landry + Dorsey for Kevin Martin.

I'll take these kina trade every day of the week.

Anyone can update the cap info this summer and next summer?

    :) :)

The Marc Stein article on ESPN says Houston is getting Martin, Jeffries, Hill, and the rights to swap picks in 2011, plus the 2012 Knick 1st round pick!!

Best of both trades. Good job Morey!

Laughing at the people b****ing last night that we essentially traded TMAC, Landry, Jeffries, Hill, the right to swap first rounders in 2011, and a 2012 first rounder for Martin.

A dynamic scoring SG + 2 1st Round Picks!!!! Who would have thought we would have gotten that much value for a fading, injury-prone, over-hyped "superstar". Kudos to Morey!!!! Way to wheel and steal!!!!!

Morey is the greatest of all-time... of all-time.

    He is our best asset.

I'm not so sure about this.

In order for the salary cap math to work, I think we're taking back Hilton Armstrong instead of Hill.

Either way, THANK YOU, LES AND MORE!!!!

HAHAHA! On the Knicks message board they were all about to king Walsh as a genius when they thought the trade didn't include Jordan Hill. Once that little detail became known in addition to NY giving up their picks, they were ready to hang Walsh...lol.

Marc Stein is saying Jordan Hill is included in the deal. The Houston Chronicle is saying no Jordan Hill. I like the trade either way, but become a HUGE fan of it if we can get Hill.

PS. also interested in seeing what kind of protection is on the Knicks 1st round picks coming this way.

In 8 years in the league Jeffries has averages a whopping 5.3 ppg and 4.4 rpg and 0.5 bpg while shooting just 43% yet averaging 23.5 mpg. At 6'11 and 240 he's not nearly strong enough to hang with true 4's and he's not really quick enough to hang with 3's. Especially since we have Battier and Ariza who are true 3's there's no room for Jeffries.

Furtermore, how many of these so called "defensive stoppers" do we need? We can't commit close to 6 mil to Ariza, 7 to Battier and absorb Jeffries 7 mil as well for next year. It's repetitive enough having Ariza and Battier. Adding Jeffries and having 20 mil tied up mainly to the 3 position? No thanks.

There's a reason why nobody wants to take back Jeffries without "goods" attached. If you think he's going to help out with the loss of Landry you're sorely mistaken. He's only going to highlight how much we miss Landry. He's the exact opposite player. Expensive, not efficient, tweener with no offensive skill.

Look up albatross in the dictionary and you'll see JEFFRIES as a synonym.

So the original Knicks trade that most of the board loved stayed more or less intact, except instead of getting Larry Hughes we dealt Landry for Kevin Martin. Sounds good to me.
