    Wow no Hill...I wonder what the protection is on those picks then lol. I'm hoping Morey made them pay with that for not giving us Hill.

    For example, if the Knicks say protected top 10 pick for 2012 is sent to Houston, then if the draft comes up in 2012 and NY has one of the top 10 picks, we don't get to have their pick THAT YEAR, either we get it unprotected the next year, or we get it the first time after that that its not in the top 10, thats what protection of a pick does.

    Now that we're guaranteed to be in luxury tax territory, Hill's contract might have been just a little too much for Les. Re-signing Lowry, Scola, and Hayes is clearly a priority.

    A protected pick would have a condition on it. For example, you get the 2011 pick as long as it isn't in the top-10. if it is in the top-10, you'd get the 2012 pick if it isn't in the top-3. If it is, you get the 2013 pick without any conditions. The particulars of the protection can be just about anything.

    I just went to the Yahoo homepage and on their list of Trending Searches, the term "Houston Rockets" is number 2 on most searched recently, haha, wanted to throw that out there without making a new thread ;)

    we should all thank tellem for threatening the kings: tyreke ain't gonna sign here if u mess with tmac lol.

    morey did great here, even if the picks are protected in the knicks' favor. drafting is his thing anyways.
