Yeah, watch what kind of contract Landry'll be asking. If fans are so sure Landry'll be a star, his agent will be asking for gigantic contracts.

jared jeffries may have a horrendous contract but he's really a good fit on a team that cna be successful, he can guard from the 1-4 positions, i think he leads the league in charges drawn, plus the rockets werent really signing a huge FA this offseason anyway.

Jeffries can be a valuable player on a successful team, it's just that his contract is bad, but it's not long term so no biggie.

    Daryl Morey is THE MAN!!!!!

He gets the player he wanted AND the future picks he wanted.

Not getting Jordan Hill is less than ideal; but look at it this way: That's $2.7M more room under the luxury tax to re-sign Scola and Lowry and add another guy for most/all of the MLE.

Thank you, Les Alexander, for making this financial commitment in order to bring both immediate and long-term success to this franchise!!!

3 PM Eastern, which leaves about 100 minutes left from this very moment...

I was hoping Landry would reunite with his brother somehow, and that along with T-Mac they could push the Knicks into the playoffs...

Not liking the trade at all. Losing Landry, not get Hill, get a HIGHLY injury prone Kevin Martin. Great.

    AWESOME!

No Hill is disappointing, but no word on the protection of these picks...

T-Mac just texted a friend, giddy, saying: "I'm a New York Knick!"

Hope there's no protection on the pick and swap. I didn't care for Hill, so not getting him is actually a relief.

all sides actually did great in this.

but what i like from our perspective is the picks can be used in the offseason for another impact player. getting kmart alone is not enough to be championship contenders even with yao. it's a beautiful trade now and losing landry doesn't hurt as much.

the knicks get what they want: tmac + cap space + keeping hill + picks probably protected

kings get an inside presence they desperately need + cap space to build around tyreke and move an ineffective player in kmart

sorry to be naive and ruin the mood, but what is the difference between a protected and unprotected pick?
