Sac Town will probably get the best of the deals going down. Not only will they get Landry, but they will probably give Mac to the Knicks for the stuff they were going to give us.

Basically Landry for Martin. The Tracy trades where heading more for a buyout.

Look on the bright side people...We don't have to trade Cook to get under the LT.

What are you talking about? 2 years ago, Battier missed 2 games. whopee

Martin missed 20+ games, 2 years ago, and 30+ games, 3 years ago. Martin is T-Mac for another 3 years of injuries and rehab.

Seriously this trade sucks, Kevin Martin IS EXTREMELY OVERRATED, we get no young prospect besides Rodriguez in return, man I hate walking up to this crap......and we lose Carl Landry :(

At least no papers have been signed yet, I'm really hoping that the rockets can at the very least land Tyrus Thomas(we need a back up PF) & trade away Battier today for 1st rd Draft picks!!!.....

Kevin Martin is by far the most efficient two-guard in the league. He is a prototype Morey player. Also, his style of play is a great fit next to yao.

I don't like this trade at all. I'd rather let Tmac rot on the bench than get rid of Landry.

Who is going to score in the 4th quarter for us?

I think the gripe with this trade is WTF, Daryl told us no rotation player was going to be traded. And why did they trade fan and team favorite Carl Landry? Also, now people look at the four spot and go "ok, who is going to play those minutes?"

The more I think about the trade, the more I think it sets up for the present and the future better than if we did the Knicks or Bulls trade alone or if we stood still and didn't do anything. The Knicks probably will send us something for Sergio as this trade hasn't become official yet.

Martin gives the Rockets a late game go to guy. No offense to Aaron/Trevor/Scola etc. They haven't done that for us as much as we had hoped. Yes, all have had one or two games where they clinched a game for us but you don't win many games going ice cold on offense with 4-5 minutes left in the game. That was becoming a regular problem and Utah wasn't the first time.

Did you see Shane air ball 3 pointers against Utah as well with the shot clock running down? With Martin, we are likely to get better shots before having to throw up prayers at the last second. Before the season, Bill Simmons teased Morey with when are the Rockets going to break the record for shot clock violations? Now, it's not to that extreme but we all have said countless times... "Shoot the ball." And then follow up with "Not you though."

Also, next year, with Yao coming back, this move makes Aaron and Trevor your third and fourth offensive priorities.

How many of you want Trevor to take less shots or wish Aaron wouldn't be the only offensive player on the court?

It stinks that in order to get talent to make the team better, you have to give up talent. Daryl knows that these guys are people first. It is just his unfortunate task at times to make the Rockets a winner. He felt like Carl was an unfortunate piece that had to go in order to see that big picture become clearer.

We will miss you Carl and Joey. But I welcome Kevin, Kenny, and Hilton to the Rockets.

IDK if Kmart is a clutch performer...I mean you really have to watch the games to check something like that...

But I know Brooks and Landry were not getting it done. Come crunch time the team has folded more times than not.

Unhappy with having (apparently) decided to re-up an aging Luis Scola.

With a pick to the Kings from NY, it would be a nice haul.

I doubt that was the decision, Clutch just said on the radio they were trying to move Scola but not every GM is a dunce, the Kings wanted Landry to make this happen.

    I hate this deal.
Its worse than the knicks deal, I'd rather see no deal at all for this season, just wait until Yao come back and we will get 2 big man drawing double teams. But now Landry is gone, this is a dumb move by DM, I still cant believe it .

I have serious doubts that Martin can stay on the floor for a whole season.

So you basically traded S. Rodriguez to the Knicks for Hill. That is horrible.

What is the infatuation with you guys?

Scola hasn't started a decline and bigs who don't rely on athleticism are meant to be in their prime years during their 30s. He's a workhorse I wouldn't be surprised if he's got another 5 years in him.
