Rockets to acquire Kevin Martin (UPDATE: 3-Way Deal Reached)

Although i like the K-Mart trade, i am still hoping that something else will happen before the deadline. Possibly a Battier, Bud, and Cook trade for Iggy or Maggette

 

doesnt iggy and k-mart play the same position?iggy could play the 3 but ariza would see less minutes.not that is a bad thing. If anything, a backup center will have to be aquired

Only one ball...Brooks and Kmart will see the ball a lot...Iggy also needs the ball to even score since he is a slasher. At least with Martin he can score off the ball pretty well.

 

Casspi can absolutely not play the PF position.

Yes.... I was really looking forward to meeting him and Luis later that day. I was even going to ask Carl what he thought about the new additions to the team..... I'm guessing now I'll have to ask Luis what he thinks about losing Landry. And to also ask him to punch Cook in the face and yell, "If you were a better player Carl would still be here dammit."

How the hell is B.Cook still a rocket?

Well, i think we'll end up taking Monroe in the draft and making a draft day trade for Alabi. Monroe knows the princeton offense and plays in it very well at 6'10 a PF is on par with the bummed knee Chris Webber version. Alabi is like a longer, faster Dalembert. I think come draft day we'll be ok.

Great trade for the Rox, Morey has been after Martin for a while and can see him with Yao next year as the perfect fit...I agree.

Love the addition of Armstrong and I called it way back when the random trade thread got started, skilled 7 footer that has disappointed but in the right system could thrive and will prove to be a nice backup to Yao.

Hate to see Landry have to be moved but if the 3 way can be struck with the Knicks then I expect Morey to make up for it with either Hill or picks. I do expect the dealing to not be quite done yet however, very intrigued to see what else unfolds before 2 today.

 

Great move if he can stay healthy. I'm going to miss you Carl.
