exactly what i was thinking. im sure he'd work on a buyout as soon as possible as i dont see him playing for sacto.

buuuut, im thinking, since DM is a shrewd guy, he could have asked the kings to not buyout tmac and just let him rot on the bench so he couldnt help another team to the playoffs. if the kings do that, he'd send landry over as a sweetener.

no draft picks from the knicks so apparently that is a perfect deal for all parties. hopefully that is the case.

jordan hill is an unknown, but at least he's a PF.

Except for a few good games, Martin has been playing horribly since returning from injury.

But most of that has to do with how well he meshes with Tyreke Evans and the rest of the team that was playing well while he was out.

Playing under Adelman again I think it's pretty likely that he will go right back to being the extremely efficient scorer he has been for a few years.

Ok. One more thought before going to bed.

I wonder if there is any chance that Morey could really be in predator mode at this point. I know it would cost Les money, but what if KT was flipped to Golden State for a package like Maggette and Randolph to replace Landry's bench scoring and give the Rockets an athletic 4 for next year to pair with Scola.

I'm a fan of the trade, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for one more move...

Too many of you are getting caught up in the loss of Landry and you are missing the positives to this trade that outweigh the negatives. One positive is that Martin is familiar with Adelmans system and can come in immediately and contribute. If nothing else, this does not make the team worse. Just a little bit better. Still i am hoping that Morey can surprise us one more time before the deadline. Corey Maggette anyone?

I love Landry, sad to see him go but unless you think he's a max player (at which point the team holding his rights will be paying him the most) we can try and get him back in the open market when he becomes a FA as long as we're the highest bidder. So for me, we lose his service this season (and I think it's a team option next season so next season also), but we'll have a ton of cap in 2011 FA and if we truly want him back, we will get him. We at worst loan him out for an year to get an 26 year old All Star Caliber Shooting Guard for 3 season and below max money, to me it's not a big deal.

Can someone photoshop this commercial or better yet a Guinness commercial with Daryl Morey and Rick Adleman as the two guys, discussing the latest Rockets trades? :p

11 hours, 45 minutes. If nothing's changed by then, I'll be going postal.

    Hate, hate, hate this trade.

Look on the bright side -- it could've been much worse -- we could've given our 1st rd pick plus two 2nd rd picks to offload a big expiring just to take back moobs (which 21st pick, btw, could've been used to draft kmart, who was taken 26th the following year -- somebody remind me rationale behind that trade again???).

It isn't final. The Rockets and Kings have come to an "agreement" but nobody has said they've submitted it to the league for approval.

Martin is always injured and he doesn't play a lick of defense. I would have preferred just letting TMacs deal expire and acquiring a scorer in the off season instead of giving up a valuable asset like Landry. Now we have to scramble to find a replacement for a guy that was in the running for 6th man of the year. Morey got owned by the Kings again.

You guys think K-Mart will be packaged in a deal for somebody?

Maybe getting K-Mart was an intermediate in the whole of Morey's plan.

This is absolutely terrible. Kevin Martin = Tmac and we just gave away landry.

Someone shoot me right now, we just lost my favorite player :( :(

How about Martin playing 50 games a year? Is that another positive?

You guys think that we'll package Martin for somebody?

I think this might have been an intermediate in getting someone else.
