Martin's FG: 0.397%...wow this is a horrible trade for the Rockets if he doesn't bounce back to 06-07 form.

Rockets source: “With Yao (Ming) back next year, we think Kevin gives us a great shot. This also gives us what we need this year.”

Losing Landry is saddening but Kevin Martin fits perfectly within Adelman's system.

I have faith that Morey will find another PF through the draft or free agency.

Well it looks like the other players in the deal all expire if we want them to. So I guess it makes sense that we would have to give up a young piece to flip T-Mac's contract into a 20 ppg scorer. Truth be told we do need a SG bad. But still, I'm very pissed at this deal. Personally, I think Landry has all-star potential.

The last time I was this torn was when we traded Cassell and Horry for Sir Charles. It is very exciting. It also reminds me of OT going to Portland for Clyde. Landry and KMart are no where near the talent levels of OT and Clyde though.

Ouch. Initial gut reaction is not exactly enthusiastic.

But it's late (east coast here). I'm going to sleep on this one. I'll wake up in the morning, find out the rest of the deal (details remain about NY's involvement), and let it sink in before I make my judgment.

Two league sources tell Y! Sports that Kings are unsure whether they will keep T-Mac, or move him onto Knicks in a deal before deadline.

I have faith in the Wizard, there's gotta be another piece of the pie coming our way. I also agree with Ronnie's play of Carl. He's just not worth the 8-9 million his agent will want. We've seen how he's played while being double teamed these past few weeks, and it was awful.

he's shown he cannot play with another scoring guard (as shown with tyreke).

with houston, he has to share the ball with yao and brooks. the only year where he was really effective was when he was the ONLY scorer and got the ball all the time.

he's a good pickup if we're just giving up tmac b/c tmac isn't playing. but landry is a BEAST. i think that's why the kings finally agreed to this deal (morey didn't dangle landry before).

now the kings get cap relief in tmac to sign somebody i nthe offseason + get a big man that will be a long time starter for them in landry.

tyreke + landry + a big free agent -> kings easily got the better end of this deal.

If Sac and Hou can pull Knicks into 3-team deal, Sergio Rodriguez + TMac would go to NY, a source says. Told Sac-Hou two-way deal not done.

So maybe the Kings end up getting Jordan Hill and we get to keep Carl Landry?
PLEASE!!!! I don't wanna lose Carl Landry.

Everyone on NBA fastbreak still thinks Mac will end up in NY. Losing Landry sucks.
Also, not that it matters, but does anyone know what race KMart is???
When I look at him I have no idea.

Not really, the lynch pin is the assumption we get Scola (RFA but still up there on the block) back or a player of equal production to stand in there with Yao. Considering the quality of big men out there, not having Landry losing Landry is basically losing our safety net for negotiating with Scola.

I was a McGrady fan while he was here and before the exile, still defended him, but if this is the deal we are making because of Tracy, I will hate him so much. Pretty much, it kills our season, because no one else coming off the bench can consistently score now.

Are we getting a 1st rd draft pick? For Landry, we damn well better be getting a 2010 or 2011 1st round draft pick.
