Agreed. Just trying to remind people that worst record doesn’t affect odds for the top slot. It is clear to most of us, but I keep hearing that repeated.
It doesn't but interesting enough the team with the worst record has never picked past #3 in the draft (unless it was traded away) and that includes the last few years of the new format. However, teams with the 2nd and 3rd worst losing record have picked outside of the top 4 many times in the past few years. I like the odds of being the worst with that superstitious nugget. 2018 Losing order: Pho, Memphis, Atl Draft order: Pho, Sac (7), Atl - Memphis picked 4th. 2019 Losing order: NYK, Pho, Clev Draft order: NO (8), Mem (9), NYK - Clev picked 5th, Pho picked 6th 2020 Losing order: GS, Clev, Minn Draft order: Minn, GS, Char (9) - Clev picked 5th 2021 Losing order: Hou, Det, Orl Draft order: Det, Hou, Clev (5) - Orl picked 5th
There is something hugely satisfying with OKC fielding the worse line-up possible, and still winning.
He literally played 6 guys ive never heard of the entire game (7th guy had 4 min) and they fought and won . Hillarious
So the Rockets have secured a bottom 3 worse record correct? If so, mission accomplished boys and girls. Let the ping pong balls fall where they may
Maybe they should develop who ever they started tonight instead of trying to tank One of those players might become the next Michael Jordan
Our 20 win team has been more fun to watch than every sub 30 win team in NBA history. And we were a better FT % away from being the lakers.
I'll take a loss against the Nets because now the Rockets can lose out and be guaranteed a top 5 pick.
It’s still funny how many folks don’t realize these teams do try to win. It’s really not that hard. That’s why losing out for that long was always a joke
Their streak of losing out isn’t that surprising. They already got a couple fluke wins against a g league team. The rest nah. Not happening
There is no rest except Orlando and they got close and probably do if Mobley doesn't go down with an injury.
