With the 14th pick, Houston Rockets select 28 year old 6'6 center from Kentucky Excel sheet says he's the highest current rebounder with many intangibles.
Not landing a top 3 pick would be a disaster. These wins are pointless, especially when they are not a product of Green’s development. Just a waste.
Tanking = Silas basketball. His employment was rumored to be in jeopardy so puts together a mini winning stretch. Then back to his normal. Players get rested for weeks at a time for less then minor injuries. I truly don’t know what the Rocket’s team is capable of because Silas is consistently playing three card Monte with player’s playing time, injuries and rotations. The only thing that is consistent is the lack of structure. Every so often a player will show improvement followed by a “Why would you do that?”moment => coaching or lack of it. No immediate correction just everything going to be okay. It will be okay if the goal is loosing => Silas basketball.
Isn't this all ordered from upper management tilman and stone? They hired a cheap ass yes man to tank. Firing Silas isn't gonna stop the tank movement
I am okay with Silas he is means to an end; just wish he had standards and ran basic basketball sets to learn from. He is really just a place holder because someone has to put their name on the head coach position. It is interesting when the players interview they never mention him: Lucas is usually the one credited. I like the structure because Silas is the obvious build-in escape goat and Lucas will keep his job after the inevitable happens. Much like Wall, Silas is cashing checks.
I see improvements from the rookies so it's not the end of the world. I just prefer if we are tanking, at least say in the bottom 3.
Victor hasn't been playing all that well this year..... it is debatable at this point which of the two is better.
I don't know why people freak out so much, pretty much we are unlikely to out tank Orlando and Detroit. It's also unlikely that OKC will win fewer games than us considering we are going to trade Gordon, and they have a full team and is keen on developing Giddy/SGA to try to win games.
Its interesting to see how much love a guy like Chet renders in talks with this years prospects, but then some will sour on a guy who has even better measurables and overall game in Wembanyama and attach the support to a 6'2 PG in the following draft. I like Henderson, but in talks about unicorns and the such Victor Wembanyama should have his picture next to the definition.
Don't stop believing. We got this. Only 3 games ahead of Detroit - if we can move Gordon and Wood (or put them in cotton wool) I think we can catch them. 26 games remain, I'm looking for 4 wins or less. We did a stellar job of closing out last season, let's get the youngsters on court more often and see if we can repeat the performance.
If Green and KPJ develop together, I would be okay with the 4th pick. I do like Chet, but I want Banchero instead of him. They won't fall below the 3rd pick, I admit.
100% we should only win as many games as JG, Alpy, and gup can win for us. this is a 4 player draft and anything less would be a wasted season.
Teams is not getting a top 3 pick, to much talent and that kinda a bad thing with the top 3 really good this draft.
