How ‘bout something along the lines of GordonTurner with The Good Guys giving up Detroit’s #1 + 23 for 13?
I would do it for houston, problem is why is indiana doing that? They have Levert, Brogdon, warren down there. Gordon's conract itself is worse than turner and then they lose a lottery pick on top of that for the 2/3 late first ones. I'm not sure this makes sense unless they really value gordon and his indiana roots more than others. or Rockets, if we have someone special that drops to 13 I'll do this
Again….if we do somehow acquire the 13th pick I hope we don’t package it to move up to #1…Just stay put and draft at #2 #13 and whatever pick we didn’t trade to get #13.
Houston Rockets The Rockets have looked to use Eric Gordon and one of their picks in the 20s — Nos. 23 and 24 — to move up in the draft, sources said. —Shams Charania
A few weeks ago that page tweeted that the Lakers and Thunder had a deal in place for Kuzma and Kemba. Since then it's been on my blacklist. They just make stuff up.
Read that over and over again and you'll slowly understand why it's fake lol. Why would anyone trade their higher pick and a serviceable vet for just 7 spots down?
Instead of Eric Gordon, can we get some sucker team to take Wall, one of the lower picks, and a future protected pick so we can get rid of him?
Another potential trade up if we do get the 13th pick is to package the 24th pick with 13 to see if we can move up in the top 10 or 11? Not sure it would be worth it at that point but if Rockets value a guy it may make sense to move up even further from 13th although it would be nice to just draft at 13 and go ahead and take a flyer on someone with pick #24 as well. This really does seem like such a wild card draft due to the many prospects under the age of 20 with not a lot of tape on them over the past year and a half so there are many unknowns. Teams with the best scouting and analytic departments are probably drooling over the potential of some of these guys. If the Rockets make a move up and target someone, I will definitely be intrigued.
