for me to never go to a game...everytime i go, yao breaks his leg or we lose to dallas.... but man those corporate seats are so hard to give up...
I've noticed that every once in a while I'll call up my buddy in SA on the day of a game and give him my Rockets cheer: "R-O-C-K-E-T-S (spelled out) ROCKETS, ROCKETS Gooooo Team!!!!" Whenever I do that (about 4 times this year) we end up losing. I have now stopped doing it so we shouldn't lose any more games this year. oh, and sorry about those previous losses. my bad.
it seems we win every time i'm at the game therefore i try to go to as many games as i can ( only 5 so far in this season ) my record is about 19-2 the 2 losses coming from the fu**** grizzlies about 3 yrs ago and game 7 vs the jAZZ last year....im going tonight vs portland and wed night vs kings. so expect some Ws. also if i'm home i must watch the game on my comp because if i watch it on tv it we always lose.
I am 17-0 when attending rocket games 3-0 at the TC 12-0 at the staples center/La sports arena/GW forum 2-0 at UNLV center (vegas summer league) do i have superstitions you bet I do (at home): I always wear some sort of rocket gear on game day whether i have to wear a rockets tshirt under my dress shirt at work to my rockets dress shirt. I never watch any half time shows during the games. I turn off the tv altogether regardless of how well we may have played and highlights. stay away from this board after a L at a game just one: Be as LOUD as possible
Last year during the All-Star break I started to grow out 3 toenails on my right foot up until the Rox lost Game 7 in the 1st round. All-Star break is coming up again, and now my ladyfriend is joining me in the fun this year. Hella-long TOENAILS!
i used to have superstitions, and i used to pray. back when i was 13/14 i used to think the harder i prayed, the more likely the rockets would win. now i'm 21, and i realize that superstitions and asking God to let the Rockets win is a little absurd. there's no correlation between the rockets winning % and the things i do before or during a game.
Mostly the ones that cause to not pay attention to them. The Rockets have never won a game at Toyota Center that I attended, 0-5. The Rockets had not won a game I attended at the Summit since 98, 0-12. The Rockets are 1-6 in games on ESPN/TNT that I saw a part of, or glimpsed at the TV (hard not to do when your brother always watches every game). The Rockets have won every game in which I've been in the Clutchfans chat, 5-0, go figure. They are also 4-0 in any road game that I have attended. So I now do not either of those things, and I sadly have no time for Clutchfans chat during games, much less getting to road games.
Right when someone's passing the ball to Shane to the corner I always say "SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE BATIERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR".
same here. i just came back from the game and my record just improved to 20-2. by wed night it should be 21-2. let's go rockets. keep the good times rolling.
My BIGGEST superstition, specifically during and before the playoffs (with us involved) is avoiding any coverage on it, less I should find an interview with Tmac making another crack-addicted declaration. I feel a lot happier that way
