hmm, if he doesnt come back, means he will probably stay back in greece? But hasn't he signed a legally binding contract... ??? at least come back so we can trade your ass vspan maybe they asked him to play in summer league and he scoffed at them at the notion, why would the tmac of greece need summer to play summer league we have to many guards anyway, if there's interest in vpsan make a nice package with him/sura/head? we need a friggn pf alreadY!
I see at least one of the games will be telecast on NBATV according to that schedule. Would be great if someone could record the game for us international fans
I've got a question... if the Rockets sign a free agent on a summer league roster of another team before the summer league starts, does that player continue to play for that team? For example, if Amir Johnson is signed and unmatched, does he stay on the Pistons' summer league roster?
ALL GAMES WILL BE WEBCAST LIVE, according to NBA.com. Excellent...except that I'll be in Europe for the next two weeks. Someone record them, please? Here's our schedule. We start on the 10th. http://www.nba.com/summerleague2007/schedule/index.html
I was actually referring to the Rockets summer league schedule, but I shouldn't expect anything less from you I guess. I'm just surprised you didn't use bold red text somewhere in your post to further prove me wrong, and you right.
Brooks Lucas (Jeff Horner) Newley (Andre Emmett) (Mike Harris) (Carl English) (Drake Diener) Eliyahu (Ron Lewis) (Ivan McFarlin) Landry Novak (Antanas Kavaliauskas) They've got six guys who can play two-guard but only one center. I wonder if the unbalanced roster has anything to do with promised/agreed upon SL contracts before the draft and how the draft actually panned out? Oh yeah, they've got the wrong Diener. Rockets won't have much depth until they sign that seventh PG.
Our summer league team sucks Our summer league team sucks I want to see the Brooks,Landry,Novack,Lior, and Emmitt but this roster doesn't look like we did our homework. We always seem to feel our summer league with boring players, that don't have a shot. Not to say that you find alot of gems every summer, but we don't even take the high risk high reward approach. Does anybody agree.
What are you talking about? The Rockets got the gem of the summer league last year in John Lucas. Plus, assuming that Brooks and Landry sign with the team, and that the Rockets re-sign Deke and Hayes as planned, the Rockets will have 16 players under contract. Plus, they're still going after veteran free agents. What makes you think the team wants to sign ANOTHER summer league player?
Emmitt is an intellectual midget...... He was on the Austin Toros and I talked to the coaches about him.....they called him An-re......No "D" Emmitt.... The guy is offensively gifted but dumber than a box of hammers about the entire concept of team.....which was surprising because he played for Bob Knight. DD
Summer league is pretty much meaningless, guys dominating there rarely take that to the NBA. JL3 is the latest example....... But it is an indicator of players that really are not ready, if you struggle in the summer league, then you are probably not ready for the NBA. DD
Don't forget Novak. He was also a 2006 NBA Summer League All-Star in the Vegas Summer League. 2006 NBA Summer League All-Stars First team (MVP) Randy Foye - MIN John Lucas - HOU Brandon Roy - POR Kevin Martin - SAC Amare Stoudamire - PHO Ryan Gomes - BOS Other All-Stars Maurice Ager - DAL Kelena Azubuike - DEN Andray Blatche - WAS Steve Novak - HOU James Singleton - LAC David Lee - NYK Ronnie Price - SAC Daniel Ewing - LAC Martell Webster - POR Sebastion Telfair - BOS Shannon Brown - CLE Jason Maxiell - DET Andrea Bargnani - TOR Nate Robinson - NYK
Emmett is probably more of a three. McFarlin is definitely a 5. I don't see any way that Novak won't start. He and Lucas tore up the summer league last year. Lucas may not start because of Brooks being the first rounder, but Novak has to be in there. I could see them going small with Lucas and Brooks in the backcourt, but I'd say it will be: Brooks Lucas (Jeff Horner) Newley (Carl English) (Drake Diener) Novak (Andre Emmett) (Ron Lewis) (Mike Harris) Landry Eliyahu (Ivan McFarlin)(Antanas Kavaliauskas)
