I don't think the Rockets will ask Suggs or Mobley to private workouts if they have promised to take Green.

Jalen Green has already said he will workout for the Pistons and the Rockets. Evan Mobley wants to be the number 1 pick too.

He did say he thinks he will become a generational player.

They have never said it's for Cade.

Fine. If no one wants to workout for Houston, just take Barnes plus Jalen Johnson with the 5th and the 8th, and acquire their 2022 or their 2023 unprotected lottery pick. Jalen has been interviewed by Houston, and they have seen him play at the combine. Barnes is mature and well liked. He can become a Draymond Green type of player without the antics.

I have been the biggest advocate of not taking Green on this board, but after seeing Suggs and Mobley “stonewall” us am now going to say #%^* it and join the Green Gang!!! Silas will teach him defense and rebounding and he’ll be an All-Star wayyyyyy before those other guys. This team is built with guys with chips on their shoulders and Green will fit in just fine after not going #1.

Stone-Wall got us the #2 pick. We should thank them.

    True. Completely agree.

But it’s possible that Cade rumor was put out intentionally and not 100% true. They could be (likely are) telling these players agents something completely different behind the scenes.

I think it’s hilarious reading this thread and seeing people panic because Suggs/Mobley won’t work out with us. It’s not some indictment on us

Suggs/Mobley have the same agent, and I’m 100% sure Rockets are drafting Green. It just means they don’t wanna waste their time especially this late.

Also do people think Tillman is handling the draft? Lol y’all make it seem like he’s scouting, interviewing and calling other front office to give them info. How is the FO getting blame for something out of their control.

y’all acting like it’s the end of the world. straighten up DAMN

Mobley worked out with CLE while Cunningham and Green have worked out with ... no one. And you blame Mobley?

Green has already worked out with the Pistons. He has said he will workout with the Rockets. Cade has worked out for the Pistons too. Mobley has worked out for the Cavs.

So why is he afraid to workout for Houston? He has already worked out with Steven Adams in Cleveland.

Hell, I want to be the number one pick, too. And I'm a 34-year-old fat white dude.

Sure, but all these guys are saying they are the best. Once they step up against the vets, they will have to face reality.

    Good question.

Should be posed to Suggs too.

    And Green.

He said all the right things about Rockets too, but he still has not worked out for Houston.

But has worked out for Detroit.

    TWICE.

And time is a legit concern, why did Rockets wait so damn long to schedule workouts with the BEST prospects in this draft????

We know they've worked out tons of late first and 2nd rounders, even guys that may not even be drafted.

    WTF were they thinking?

    Where were their priorities????

If you have your choices narrowed down to two or three people, and you know at least two of them are going to be available, do you need to spend a ton of time evaluating that in person? Not really, because you can narrow a lot down based on traditional scouting, background checks, interviewing. The in-person workout would mostly serve to confirm what you've already scouted.

At 23 and 24 you have no idea who is going to be left. It makes more sense to scout every single player that could potentially be there and spend a lot more time doing it. You have tons of different scenarios to run.
