The point is the Yao-McGrady Rockets can't shut anybody up on the basis on post-season play. All they can do is whimper away.

I pick on francis and some of the other scrubs on the team, but never drag the whole team or best players through the mud. check the other threads and see how much we rip tmac & yao. then tell me how we can want "respect".
We don't deserve to be in championship conversation until we have the track of passing first round. Celtics big 3 At least all passed first round before last year.
On the ESPN, only Jamal Mashburn is one who can talk a real basketball, the most of others are either stupid or know little basketball, who are enjoying their life without running any risk, no matter what they say or think.
Kevin Garnett - only past the 1st Round once, while he was in Minnesota and that wasn't until the T-Wolves added Sprewell and Cassell. Pierce's success came in a very weak Eastern Conference. Again, it is time period, everything is about time. I wouldn't count them out, yet...while I wouldn't count any team out at this point, unless it is the Bobcats or Grizzlies.
They haven't earned it. When they start playing well consistently and beat the contenders, they will get respect. So far, good record, but mediocre play. Plus you have TMac now sitting and Yao just barely getting into game shape. Barry is shooting like your grandmother, and Artest is not far behind. Let's see what "they" are saying in March.

I understood the outcry after the Finals win and we were left out of what they did for evey other champ, but the constant whining over lack of respect from other fans and sports writers/media guys is almost as tiresome as the yearly whining over the lower level suits at the Toybox. get over it and move on. I'd rather see the Rockets get rings. Note the instant respect that Pierce, KG and Allen get now when before they hardly got any respect.
