Suns is leading again 52-51. That's it. I cannot watch it anymore. I am too depressed. Whatever will be, will be!!!
i'm going to be the first one who said it. phoenix is in the playoffs. the rockets are no longer in it. suns are leading by 10. i see this as a positive. one: the rockets will look back at this season and say that could have been me and work that much harder when they see that the suns advance to the second round and prove they're for real. and it's good also cause you don't want the suns getting better through the lottery.
Rox still in it, for 28 more seconds. Phoenix has the ball with 28 seconds left i nthe 4th, and up by 4.
It's over. Guess who's the REAL all-star now Francis? ANOTHER disappointing season goes down the drain. nuff said.
I dont think they're in a world of sh*t, I can put money and say the rockets are going to win 50+ games next season with this squad for a whole season. This isnt a bad team, I think the chemistry will be there next season, no need to get stressed out over this season, its not your life.
What disappoints me the most about this team is Steve Francis. Last year there was an excuse for the horrible season. Steve was injured, he was hurt, he couldn't play. The Rockets were something like 2-20 without him. This year was supposed to be different. He was supposed to be the main piece and carry this ballclub on his back. Obviously he didn't want the responsibility, and tried to deflect it to Yao and Cuttino at times. He MUST step up next season and get consistent Franchise numbers or he's finished in the organization. I hae another view, though, that maybe the fact that the Rockets got the first pick in the daft lead to too many distractions. The offense WAS supposed to go throguh Steve, not be meshed together with Yao. This is why if there isn't better coaching for these two, nothing can be accomplished. I actually do believe that if Yao had not been a Rocket THIS YEAR, )or say they had Drew Gooden instead) the Rockets would have coasted into the playoffs BECAUSE this was Steve's year to shine, not be outshadowed by all the Yao hype. I think Steve should wake up one morning and realize that this IS HIS team, NOT Yao's. He should take control of the tempo, the offense, and let it be known. I feel that he felt he could just give Yao the spotlight and get him to do stuff while all fans and everyone else watching Yao wanted Yao to be the main piece of this team. So, maybe Steve wasn't given a fair chance. Sadly, I can't fathom how the Rockets could have possibly gotten a 45-37 record 2 years ago and note make the playoffs.
Read the posts on this board. SF was beat up all year to let the offense run through Yao. People are still saying it. People get so excited because the see Yao make a couple of nice passes that they forget everything else. If you watched the game, Phoenix picked SA apart by pulling everyone out of the paint and letting Starbury do his thing. SF can never get that priviledge becuase there is always one if not two people in the paint clogging up the middle. I'm afraid that if they run the offense through Yao again next year, we will actually fall further into the pack behind New Orleans and Seattle.
