as others have stated, the label "young team" is pretty meaningless and fairly disingenuous in our case because we don't have anyone with any potential for significant growth. that phrase usually implies that substantial improvement can come from within which really isn't the case for this lineup. our youth is analogous to that of the jazz 90's teams (in eisley, russell, shandon anderson) that energized the vets and helped wear their opponents down with their hustle over the course of the season and playoffs. that's nice, but pretty meaningless without star players.
Looks like it but what I am pointing is that to win a title a team must have enough veterans to help stabilize the team.
Well, if I remember correctly he kept Chris Paul at bay last time they matched up. I could see him becoming a Jameer Nelson calibur player. Not a superstar, but close enough to it.
Most of our young players don't really have too much potential. They all can be very GOOD role players though.
we won 22 straight almost entirely without yYao and we pushed the lakers (NBA CHAMPS) to game 7 without Yao or TMac...and still no belief. its Landry and Brooks time for breakout seasons. hopefully Ariza will step up too. i think we're gonna be fine. and if we do play well without Yao and/or TMac, then we can draw some major free agents
