If even half of the youth on our roster pan-out and become productive players. The Rockets have done a hell of a job these past few years picking up solid young talent(including drafting Gay, even tho we traded him)
Good. Even though it's less talented, it's better than the situation we had at the end of the Dallas series, when our entire backcourt was old and Yao and T-Mac were considered 'young'.
you missed chuck.. he's only a couple months younger than Carl. Edit: okay more than a couple... like three...06/11/1983
Probably sounds something like "Get me a young potential star on this team so I can average more than 3 assists per game."
Getting younger us great but the consequence will be felt during the games. Growing pains. Nothing beats experience and of course having a healthy All-star.
Again. Tons of youth. Tons of pieces. Tons of stars. But no leader. No superstar. 2010 can and should change that. We have the cap space and the pieces to be lucrative. It should be a fun offseason
Bingo. That's the point. We have all great team needs to win a championship. Hell, we even have stars bt they are only available on paper.
We need to deal Battier and maybe Scola as well. They are my two favorite players but I think it would be the best situation for both sides. Battier, Scola, Cook and Barry should net us a couple of decent players. Follow that up with a big signing in 2010 and you have a real team.
It's unfortunate that the op is forgetting our 4 best players: Yao Ming, Tracy Mcgrady, Luis Scola, and Shane Battier. There in lies the problem.
