I knew his 3&Free strategy would be in trouble when Morey traded Kevin Martin away. ;)

Imo that's the weirdest part about morey philosophy. We constantly lead the league in 3s and FTs per game over the past few years but he hasn't aquired 3pt specialist from positions 1-3 and he also hasn't gone after any bigs that can shoot from free throw line of even from mid range.

This team would look so much differmt if you swapped our team for the Hawks team and put James Harden with them or even the Chicago Bulls team without jimmy butler.

Morey has value contracts I'll give him that but look at the rotation.

Bev- 2nd round pick who had to play overseas for years before coming to the NBA.

    Ariza- 2nd round pick

Capela- 21 year old late 1st round pick

    JH- 3rd pick

    DH- 1st pick

    Dmo- late first round pick

Tjones- late 1st round pick 17th I think

Thronton- late first or 2nd round pick

    Brewer- lottery pick

    Terry- lottery pick

    Harrell- 2nd round pick

    Dekker- late 1st round pick

    Kj- 2nd round pick

    Ty- late 1st round pick

Look at the team all these guys are either old or young late to early 2nd round picks.

This team just needs more talent atleast 2 more quality 25-28 years old players who have produced big in the NBA. Our team still has to many unknowns.

At some point dmo is who he is jones is who he is these guys arnt going to get better they are who they are. We need a talent upgrade, letting parsons go was a mistake because he is a talented player. Getting rid of Morris was a mistake because he has proven to be a legit NBA player and regardless what some may think has proven more in the league than jones or dmo. Letting Patterson go was a mistake although I dont know if we could have kept him and signed dwight. Letting brooks go again was a mistake guy can shoot lights out and score in a hurry off the bench.

These are just a few and there plenty more. Morey has gotten rid of the type of players he should have kept all those guys were lottery picks but brooks and brooks had been MIP and a starter on a playoff team they would help this team out a lot more then Bev, jones, dmo, brew.

Morey has his work cut out for him time to Make a trade I don't really care about what seed we have going into the playoffs. I just want this team to have the talent to compete with the elite. Out stars are fine they just need better guys around them.

Hate to say it but the three point shooting is on Morey. It was his idea to shoot all these threes with below average shooters.

You don't need 3 point specialists.... you just need people who are performing consistently at or above their career average.

    We needed defensive guys

I mean look, we surrounded Harden with 4 good defenders and the defense still sucks

And the team had the same type of problems we are having this year, the difference is we were able to overcome them and probably were a little bit luckier on some nights...

You won't win with that approach...

If I am not mistaken, those do not count against the rebound statistics...

True. We would be in that Lakers and 76ers kind of mess.

Just curious but what would our 3 point percentage be if Harden shot his career average? His bad start has crashed those numbers badly.
