Wagering in small amounts is fun and demonstrates commitment. Larger amounts are merely flash and are rarely followed through. It demonstrates less than adult behavior.

That depends on your definition of "good". Chase is an extremely flawed player. The only thing he is remotely adequate in is as a shooter/scorer. Yet he is not terribly good or efficient at either shooting or scoring. In fact he is right around average. The problem is, he ranges from subpar to horrendous in nearly every other aspect of basketball. Especially defensively. To make it worse, he is extremely weak-minded, letting a few missed shots affect every other part of his game.

He will never be a starter on any team serious about winning. However, what he has going for him is he is actually on a very attractive contract(thanks to Moreyball) and outperforms what he gets paid. Because of that, he can be used as a spot player off the bench in limited minutes that hides his weaknesses. Problem for him is we just drafted a player just like that in Chandler Parsons. So look for the Rockets to sell high on him while there is still value there because of his contract.

Bold predictions, just guessing or do you have some insider info? I too have a "feeling" that Courtney Lee may be on the move. Never a good idea to let your thoughts about moving to another team become public. I doubt Morris can push C-Bud out of the starting role. TWill challenging Martin, wow, that seems even more unlikely. The role of the SG is to score and that is something TWill doesn't do very well. Martin is an elite scorer. He might well play behind Martin to address defensive and match up issues. Anyway, interesting anaylsis.

We forget that morris very well could have gone at the 8th spot, he is top ten talent. Plus when morris is lighting up chase in the paint during practice, mchale will give em the GREEN light to start. Also, I think lee and chase compliment each other so well off the BENCH.

"Rarely followed through"? If you plan on skipping out we can have Clutch enforce it with a Banhammer.

We can wager whatever amount you prefer. I am merely trying to help Clutch cash in on the ignorance on the BBS before Morris blows up and people see how silly it was to take those bets in the first place.

May your crow taste as cold as crow meat should. My wager, as posted, stands ... without theatrics.

I expect Chase to come in better. And for all those who say his defense is pathetic I say go back and watch some film. Bud definitely had some pathetic games were he looked terrible worse than terrible but in those games he looked like he was making a lot of stupid mental mistakes. As the season progressed his defense got better. He still had lapses even late in the season but he definitely improved over the course of the year. I am not saying he is a defensive stopper. Just that he improved by the end of the year and I expect him to continue to improve. Plus he is already so much better offensively than anyone we can put at the three. So don't expect anyone to beat him out by the start of the season.

Now of course I would love to see Morris beat him out at some point but I wouldn't bet on that happening before the new year.

Your wager, as posted, has nothing to do with what you keep repeating in these threads. Starting at the beginning of the year!=starting all year long. Surely you understand that. So instead of copping out with that excuse, why don't you just admitted that you can't back up your words. All talk. Without the theatrics.

Starting all year, excepting injury, is precisely the nature of my wager. I am surprised you had difficulty grasping that.

Link? I've only seen you betting $10 on him starting at the beginning of the year.

Budinger will start at the beginning of the season, but I think M-Mo will take over.

Did I not just clarify any questions in your mind regarding Bud's rotational supremacy? If not, I'm too tired to continue. The wager is fully framed, and I need to rest.

I want the Hard G to start. I really like his playing style, but he really have to improve a lot if he wants to keep his starter job with so many people eyeing that position.

$100 on Budinger starting ALL SEASON long, barring injury, then. The loser who fails to honor his bet is banned by Clutch, should he grace us with his enforcement.

Anybody have any thoughts on C-Bud playing some SG? Has he ever done it, I can't remember? He seems to have the ball handling skills and we know he can shoot. Martin doesn't play a bunch of defense either, although neither are as bad at defense as many on this board think.

I think Budinger will start as Marcus Morris comes off the bench.
If he exceeds the expectation of the coaches, I see him starting over Bud.

If there is a season, Budinger will start to increase his trade value and make him look attractive. However, he will be moved by the trade deadline in some sort of package, probably with an expiring or two and Morris will step into the starting spot and stay there for the next several years at least.
