WAIT. . . . .I thought we were supposed to FIRE THE COACH??
Doesn't know how to manage a team they say. .
Doesn't care anything about defense they say. .
He just stands on the sidelines and watches games they say. .
Doesn't have any plays or scheme they say. . .
Anyone can do better than him they say. . .

Kinda hard to take it serious when the Kings are number 2, they stink.

Talk about a pleasant surprise, as I would not have expected those numbers. I hope Morey shows them to D’Antoni and makes sure House stays a starter. Gordon can focus on flourishing as a sixth man of the year candidate.

Credit to PJ and House Junior. And Westbrook.

    No credit to Ego.

They only moved Holmes into their starting lineup four games ago. Plus, what it really shows is that the Kings’ bench is badly getting outplayed in their minutes.

Eric Gordon is used to being the catch and shoot guy. With him coming off the bench he has to be an all out scorer. So, he has to get himself into tip top shape to be able to be that on a nightly basis.

Exactly, people can’t comprehend what the rating points out. They deal in absolutes as opposed to looking at all the variables that come into play.

I think our D needs to be at least 10th to be a real contender. Great offensive output can only make up for so much, especially going against teams like the Clippers, Utah, Bucks, and the Lakers with their size. If we can not properly put up a good defensive strategy against the above, we are not going to win a playoff series against them.

if MDA didnt tinker with the starting 5 during the miami game then the rockets may not have been in that big of a hole in the 1st quarter

He can’t be traded this year. Also, Gordon has proven he can thrive as an elite sixth man, so there’s no need for the Rockets to trade him.

Alright, I just want to explain for the last time, just because House or EG start, it doesnt mean one or the other will get more or less minutes, get what I mean. Like if EG is not starting or if House is starting it doesnt actually change the impact they have on the floor.

How does strength of schedule factor into this?

I know folks would hate it, some of them, but Capela is the biggest asset who is not a superstar right now.

    Not PJ and not Gordon.

The Rockets’ starters have a 90 DRtg. That’s elite. What Morey and D’Antoni have to do is make sure the bench is competent on defense because clearly that is what is killing them.

we got posts like DD’s, yet there’s actually a thread out here with the notion that average Joes could actually do a better job than Morey...

    lmao

While I agree with you, this stat would give me pause about trading Capela if I were Morey. I’d have to determine how integral Capela is to that defensive rating first.

I can't really predict how much better Capela (25 yrs old) can get, if by the smallest chance he isn't getting much better, I think these 2 years will be time to trade him.

He needs to develop some kind of a shot, even if he just shoots 25%.......the optimist in me says he is getting better.

He is a good defensive player, no doubt about that, but can he mask WB and Harden?

I think he cannot sustain playing over 32 minutes per game over a long time, that is also a knock on him.

Additionally, half of his points come from lobs, that is not really hard to accomplish.

the SL with House in it is just a better option...EG is undersized at SF and has absolutely zero presence on the boards

House has size, rebounds much better, and is actually hitting his shots

Right now, House is playing great and Gordon isnt, thats true.

But what happens when Gordon returns to form? You gonna put House in to close, instead of EG? Like im saying, it isnt about who starts for me, its who finishes.
