I think EG is about 6'9''. Last year, I watched him guarding J O'Neil, who towered over him.

No, I like TMo's game as well. He proved to me that he's a good shooter, he also plays good defense. It would be a mistake to let this guy go, he could be the perfect 10-15 mpg guy for us.

i agree with you completely! i think our small forward problem is not anymore big. we got james "mr. hustle" posey. he's like an answer to one of my prayers! keep posey!!! imo, our big problems is our PF inconcistency and our guard rotation. we have a weak rotation of SF/CAT/MOOCH. we have to get a good pg to compliment SF or get a starting pg, move SF to 2 guard, move cat to 6th man and ditch mooch..

Here are Buck Johnson's career numbers and James Posey's first year Rocket numbers. Surprisingly close although Posey should get stronger over time if he remains with the team.

    Buck Posey

    Points 9.5 9.3
    Rebounds 3.6 4.8
    FG% 49 44
    FT% 74 83
    A/T Ratio 1.78/1.38 1.83/1.34
    Steals .85 1.33
    Blocks .54 .16

So it is clear that Buck Johnson is one of the most underrated Rockets of all time. Buck, I hope you're reading this. :D

I understand but my point is that he probably started for us for 4 or 5 years. The organization's dissatisfaction could not have run that deep. His scoring averaged reached 14. PPG in 1989-90 season (what appears to be his second of 4-5 years as a starter).

Jermaine O'Neal never towered over EG. Never. In fact one of the best blocks last years was EG on KG as announced by the Wolves commentators.

I definitely think we are set at small forward. We should keep Posey, he is athletic and is an excellent defender who can create opportunities.

Trading for Posey was a great move. Now we just need to get Griffin straightened out.

This is what I don't understand eventhough i like it. If Posey was traded to be our sf, why did we draft Nachbar in the 1st rd? When Sac drafted peja in 96 and waited on him till 98, it was because they had a limited psuedo sf in Corliss. After they drafted Peja, they didn't trade for another sf until he was ready. They drafted Hedo to possibly take over for Christie in case he struggled, but Hedo grew and now is 6'10 and to tall to play the 2. He will be traded this summer if they bring Jackson back next yr. You must always have a plan when drafting players playing the same position.

I honestly feel that Nachbar will never be a starter for the Rockets. I think he will end up being a solid bench role player. And that's ok! I think Posey is the starter because of his experience and his defense and idealy Nachbar can come off the bench with the energy and the scoring punch. T-Mo can be kept around because of his versitility of being able to play the 3 and the 4. And of course Rice will be shipped out sometime this year most likely.
