Rockets sign Trevor Ariza to 4-year, $32 million deal

How do people think this is a good signing? Ariza is a subpar bench player. The rockets should have gone after Greg Monroe and then resigned Parsons. Greg Monroe has been so underrated this offseason. He is a great 4, he has been putting up consistent numbers for the past 3 years, great rebounder.

 

Again with this mook? He was Morey's biggest mistake in his GM tenure (well that and letting Adelman go), and he was very, very disappointing when he was here the first time.

I think a number of folks on here suggesting we not match parsons don't really understand our cap situation now and moving forward. You gain nothing by not matching parsons other than saving Les Alexander money.

 

And why would the teams help us out to do that? Pelicans so they clear out cap room? Wizards, just to get something in return? I guess that could happen...

 

you do realize the first time he was here he had a different role as a lead go to person whereas this time around hes like the 3rd or 4th option.

Now, just need a combo guard with some play making ability and a more solid back up center and the roster should be fairly decent.

He had very nice contract year performance, my bet is that ppl question his track record, dont want him with inflated long contract, that is why rockets grabbed it with fair price.

 

I'm not very good about keeping up with CBA rules. I thought if we used our cap space to sign a free agent that offseason (like we are doing with Ariza), we sacrificed our MLE for that year?
