KD defender, which we were lacking, helps us in the west.

There are so many FA left....we could add Ed Davis, Chris Douglas Roberts, Xavier Henry, Chris Anderson, Toney Douglas, Ryan Hollins, Andre Blatche, and many many more. Wonder what Morey has up his sleeve now.

Beware. We'll probably also need some cap space to be able to match a big Troy Daniels offer. Then we'll match Daniels, and not Parsons. My guess.

This is a very reasonable deal for the Rockets. But they still need to match the offer sheet for Parsons and bring Ariza off the bench. That would give them some solid depth. Ariza, Daniels, D-Mo, Canaan, and Johnson. All they need is a backup center.

If we let Parsons go for Ariza I believe we are worse.

We have to match Parsons for chemistry reasons, if nothing else. Otherwise Howard will be upset and start whining like he did in LA and Orlando. And he will probably leave I pair up with Parsons once their contracts are up. Our front office has to know this.

Even if Jones bulked up some (which would most likely cause him to lose some of his athleticism and running the floor from the PF spot, one of his biggest strengths) he would still be undersized and short to guard some of the elite PFs such as LMA. You can' train height.

    I don't like Ariza. I don't like Ryan Anderson.

But if we wind up with Anderson, Ariza, Parsons and an Okafor... I'd be pumped. You still need a better coach to win with that group though. With a Bosh or Melo, you can get away with bad coaching.

Anderson, Ariza, Parsons, Okafor, Daniels. Make it happen and I'll be right with the world again.

KD defender? Should do a better job of that and hitting open 3's than Garcia did last year.

So true. Chandler will be resigned, but there will be BIG foreworks in the next 24 hours. Morey isn't done.....

looks like people are split on this. We really need a 4, its a good deal on him. but honestly we don't need him. we should have been focusing on a 1 or 4.

Again, why? If we don't match Parsons we would:

    1. have downgraded at SF and still have no depth here
    2. still not have enough capspace to sign any player for more than 10 million next offseason

If we match Parsons we can use the MLE next offseason, have a TE to use this season and have actually upgraded our team.

Ariza will play SG and SF. He will probably come off the bench and still play 30 minutes a game, maybe more. Parsons will play stretch 4 at times, Harden might play PG at times.

This doesn't change a lot concerning matching Parsons offer. What it changes is, we now don't have max cap room no matter what next offseason - and we now have someone who could take his spot but not reach his quality level of play.
