He makes the 3rd center who'll be playing anywhere other than RGV.

Morey is super high on Clint. No way he is dealt for Melo.

This makes me think Chinanu Onuaku is not gonna make the team. Guy looks terrible to me

    It's possible.

It's not just for melo, it would also be getting rid of Anderson contract, and bringing CPs friend to Houston. Making us a super team, finally having that 3rd star, and making it more likely that another star comes in the summer time.

So when you look at this way, I think it's possible. Although I'm in the group that thinks Clint will crack the all star game this year or next while playing with cp

Of course it's possible. Melo + Porzingis for Anderson + Capela. I'd do it.

Our rebounding and defense will take a mega hit of we trade Clint and don't get back a decent center in return. I think Morey knows this. Or at least I hope so. Agree about Clint. I think he's going to have a big year

Would you do it if you were the Knicks?

Don't think so bro, I think it has a lot more do with Nene being 34 and injury prone.

Nene had a lot of rest games last season, only averaged 18 mpg. Black is our 3rd big that eases the load for Nene, not a Capela replacement.

Did I say it was more important? I just thought there were other people that might take less to chase a ring. Figured the BAE would be used for a buyout player or someone playing more considerable minutes.

Why is that a stretch. He made 7.5 last year. Plenty of guys have taken less to compete on a stacked team. Plus he's getting older.

That 3rd center role isn't one you can leave vacant for the start of the season, though... Nene's nights off aren't going to wait. I have a hard time thinking of an available vet minimum guy who would slot nicely into the role. Again, this is just my speculation -- but when Morey said he planned to save the BAE in case of in-season buyouts, I think he meant it. I also think maybe he didn't anticipate Chinanu would look so far from ready just a few days later.

They wouldn't of course. I'm just teasing him for saying "it's possible ". But then again, if I were the Houston Rockets, I wouldn't do Anderson + Capela for Melo either. Just saying.

The only reason he's taking a pay cut is he's doing Spurs a favor. I doubt he's going anywhere, esp not for the BAE. LOL

I think the Rockets are trying to convince the Knicks that Xi is the next Yao Ming. With a huge Chinese population in NY, this might work.
