Rockets Royce White and Terrence Jones have signed their rookie deals, source said. Jeremy Lamb expected to sign in coming days.

Clearly, Lamb is being sacrificed at the altar of Dwight.

    Well, it does for now.

This just means the Howard deal is off for at least 30 days. The rookies were going to be signed at some point. The Rockets signing them now in all likelihood just means there isn't anything close with the Magic at this point.

We need to hurry up and sign Lamb, so we can move on.

We gotta face the music sometime. Howard's a pipedream. A pipedream that won't sign here long term were we able to even land him at all. I say let's move forward with the youth movement and keep on keepin' on.

Lamb's the one rookie I'd really want to keep in a trade for Dwight/Bynum, so I'd rather he have signed first, but whatever. Not that it matters. If a trade does go down, though, and the Rockets send out Martin, Lamb, Parsons and picks, I think the team will literally be forced to run out Lin, Howard/Bynum and PFs

Good. Screw ORL. They can have Morris and 2 second rounders if they still want.

Morey was like screw this. Sign these guys now so when he's out in London, he can relax. Call me back next month, Hennigan.

After a good summer league showing from the rooks, what's stopping Orlando from doing a deal? How does a deal get closer to being done in a month, than now?

Not sure you're being serious, but if you are serious, why?

Once a rookie is signed he can't be traded for 30 days. The rookies were going to be signed at some point, if the Magic couldn't make their mind up, which apparently is the case.
I seriously doubt the Magic will trade for a package that doesn't include any of our rookies.
