You may be right. But if that's the case then don't you think it's likely that we have to give him more then a minimum deal to make up for what he gave up you stay with RGV instead of sign in Europe?
Possibly, although if he had enough leverage to command above the rookie minimum, then he could've just accepted the qualified tender last summer and forced his way into free agency in 2018. Maybe his (better than expected?) performance in the G-League this season changed his circumstances. If that is the case, then perhaps the Rockets use a portion of the Taxpayer MLE to give Hartenstein a little higher salary and/or extra years on his deal.
This is precisely why I think there's a wink-wink here. We're either gonna sign him late and give him a years service and hold non-birds rights or we're gonna sign him to an extended deal next summer for a little above minimum. What other explanation is there for him either not signing overseas or signing the one-year tender?
thought this guy would have gotten 3-4min in the blowout last nite. apparently pringles saying he needs to get ariza more rest was just a lie
They were up by 20 with about four and a half minutes left before D'Antoni pulled Harden, Paul and Capela. The bench totally sucked in garbage minutes and made it look much closer than it really was.
