HOUSTON -- The Houston Rockets and Toyota Center have agreed to a new multi-year partnership with the Chinese shoe company ANTA Sports Products Limited.

The deal, which was announced before the Rockets' game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, adds ANTA to the Rockets' growing number of Chinese sponsors.

"This is a great day for both the Rockets and ANTA," Rockets owner Leslie Alexander said. "ANTA is one of the fastest growing sports brands in China and this partnership is going to help them expand their global platform. ANTA is rapidly becoming China’s favorite sports footwear provider and the Rockets are China’s favorite NBA team – it's a great partnership."

ANTA will receive signage in various Toyota Center locations and will be recognized as an official partner with the Rockets and Toyota Center, along with an offseason basketball camp to be held at Toyota Center and staffed by Rockets players, coaches and basketball staff. The deal also includes various other hospitality and strategic elements that will be announced at a later date.

"This strategic collaboration between ANTA Sports and the Rockets is part of our long-term brand development strategy," ANTA Sports Products Limited Chairman and CEO Ding Shizhong said. "Through our loyal support of the China Basketball Association, ANTA Sports has a long history as a leading supporter of basketball in China. The basketball camp we will conduct in Houston will enhance ANTA's leadership position with regards to basketball in China. We look forward to a long and successful strategic partnership with the Rockets and Toyota Center."

ANTA was established in 1994 as a subsidiary of Hong Kong Anda International Investment Co., Ltd. The company began operations in a shoe mill in Jinjiang, Fujian province and over the past decade has developed into one of China’s largest comprehensive sports products manufacturers.

With over 4,000 exclusive retail outlets in China, ANTA has developed into one of China's leading sports-related brands. ANTA has been at the forefront of the rapidly-expanding development of organized sports in China. As a loyal partner to China's national sports teams, ANTA has supported the China Basketball Association (CBA) as well as China’s male and female volleyball and table tennis leagues.

Multi-year deal begins with 2007-08 season

No, at least two. Since both he and his wife are only child. That is if he doesn't want more, he can have as many as he want in the states.
