Good for Nene. Still a good player. A C that can put the ball on the floor and attack with a strong finish. Tough and really good locker room guy. Need those type of guys.
After how he performed, I'm cool with it. We aren't as successful last year without Nene and I believe we beat SA if he doesn't go down
i don't understand the b****ing about 4 years. would you have rather he signed a market value deal for 2 years (like 2yrs/15m)? this deal helps the rockets this season and his cap number won't hurt much in future years.
Love getting this secured. The Capela/Nene combo is just incredibly important to this team. Capela, I believe, would actually be less effective if he would have had to be asked to do what he does for 30+ minutes a night. Also those last two years are likely to mean that Nene is a player that becomes a trade contract player who gets involved in a deal to make salaries match. I would be shocked if he plays after next season, and doesn't get traded that next Summer in a deal where the other team waives his last two years.
Two strong years from Nene will be worth 15mil and the subsequent buyout for whatever's left after that. This team is looking great

4 years for 15 is really nothing. Especially for a big man that can still play regardless of his age. Nene took a bargain deal and Morey gave him long term security. Fair is fair. If you think it's not fair .... Just pretend it's 3 years for 12 million and 1 extra year and 3 million for what he did for us this last season.
