I am fine with it for the league minimum.

Jeff Bzdelik thinks he can be helpful on the defensive end and in switches, so I am not going to doubt him.

The best way to look at the MCW addition, as @BimaThug suggested, is that MCW is the Aaron Jackson replacement as an emergency PG. Basically the 15th roster spot.

I hope MWC is on the floor with the group that goes 0-27 0-40 next year.

We've got a winner. MCW is the worst offensive player on the Rockets since Joey "Gorilla Dunks" Dorsey.

    What are you talking about.

This is clearly our big move of the offseason. No way we do anything else. He's gonna replace Ariza and play 40 MPG because apparently Morey is an idiot who can't do his job.

We're done, game over, why even take the floor next season.

This guy was on his way out of the league... and Morey ofcourse saves his career.

Ariza's new replacement! Big like Klay, shoots like Dray (actually, worse).

There is a model for MCW out there -- it's Shaun Livingston. Livingston has taken a grand total of 22 3s in GSW's offense over the last FOUR years. He compensates by being a 50%+ shooter inside the arc.

MCW has the same passing abilities, and the same length at the 1 to cause mismatches against small guards. He's not an awful free throw shooter (75%+ the last 2 years). If he can learn to play within himself, there could be something there.

Edit: To also say... on a 1 year league minimum, it's fine. If he can be a plus defender and create for others on offense, that will be just fine.

Actually there is value for the end of the bench guys.

Scenario: Regular season Rockets have a lead in the 4th quarter. When do you sit the starters? On THIS team they never could hold leads. Starters played extra minutes. If the garbage unit is at least "better" than last year, then your starters get more rest throughout the season.

Yes, it is marginal. But you have to find ways at the margins to improve.
