Just leave him wide open. It's 4 on 5 on defense. This better be a camp tryout with no guaranteed roster spot. I'll know everything I need to about him in the preseason.

Not a shooter, but can put the ball down on the floor and get to the rim with ease. I like this pick up perhaps betting it can pay off ala Gerald green . Kind of the opposite game of Ariza and being shorter.

Why do you think they view him as a rotational player?

Had they signed me to the same deal nobody would have assumed anything beyond camp fodder. If he plays well great, if not he's gone.

He's a horrible shooter, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

This makes EG more moveable. MCW can play make off the bench. Hopefully we can get Butler .

Minimum signing to be the last guard off the bench.

We can't get guards to sign here because there are no minutes. We've tried multiple times to convince Jameer Nelson and he's declined.

Reality for a guard is that you won't play most nights here behind Harden, Paul and Gordon.

The Warriors sign DeMarcus Cousins and the Rockets answer that by signing Michael Carter Williams

Think about that for a minute. Let it sink in.

didn't know the rockets had the luxury of signing guys they dont view as a rotational player. especially when the pool isn't exactly filled with a buffet of realistic options

Thanks. I guess he's a point guard version of Capela. ;)

at the same time guards in the league should be able to understand the maintenance program the rockets will have for cp3 right. so there are minutes to be had.

Horrible signing. I'm really disappointed in Morey.

I know a lot of people are saying he may not play much he is the 4th guard etc.

I just can't see Morey signing a guy like MCW even to a min contract without having an idea of how he would be useful in practice. Every vet min signing in recent history did get minutes and given CP3's injury history and the Rockets desire to have him rest MCW will see minutes.

its one year so its not going to hurt Rockets long term but I just dont see the purpose or direction for this signing at the moment.

He's possibly the worst offensive player the Rockets have had since......I honestly don't know when.
