I'm really not that kind of guy who questions the fornt office moves, also cause i actually understand and agree with what they do 100% of the time, this signing though, i really don't get it, i mean yeah, it's a minimum deal...i just hope they're not going to eat Melton minutes to play MCW.

MCW at minimum I say why not. We need influx of younger bodies for 82 game regular season. Would rather see Melton get those minutes. But again, at league minimum, why not.

MCW can create shots for himself and others, and he can defend a ton of positions on switches (even if he hasn't been a terribly consistent defender). Shot will never be there, but he would also seldom be on the floor with two other shot creators. Just a secondary ballhandler.

    Why?

We still have our taxpayer MLE, we can still add a rotation player. This literally means nothing, he very well may get cut in camp for some other minimum guy we sign in the coming weeks.

If we had any belief in him actually contributing significantly we would have signed him to a multi year deal

I'm having a difficult time justifying this move. Why? Can anyone explain the reasoning?

We've added two quick defensive guards.

Exum torching us in that Jazz series has cost Tilman a bit of $ this summer.

W's won 24 in a row to start the year and MCW put an end to all of that:

the list of actual significant rotational players available has pretty much gone down the drain. if by this time they could only get mcw, that tells alot about realistic options

Third ball handler who can create his own shot even though he usually misses them

Every freakin' telecast: "Carter-Williams has been working hard with Rockets' assistant coach John Lucas on correcting the flaws in his jump shot..."

If he goes 1-12 from 3.....then it's a good signing

For a minimum deal, this is fine. He gives us size and a proven vet who can bring up the ball. I think everyone will be surprised at how he can create assists too. . . However, this is an arms race and we'll need more than his signing to keep up.

    Why?

Im sure morey thinks he will fit in with our defensive switching. Low risk signing. If he sucks and is an offensive liability then just dont play him.
