As long as they come ready to play and can defend it will be an upgrade to the bench but then again JB better play them:grin:
I didn't hear about this, but I like it. I was equally shocked by what we did with Lawson... Anyway, Beas can score the ball pretty well. I like his game a lot. To me, the move signals that Morey hasn't given up on this season. You don't go after Beas if you're just going through the motions. Even though he's been out of the league, he's far from washed up. He's not a guy that will get us over the hump, but he can space the floor pretty well. Beas can beat you in the post, off of the dribble and with the occasional 3. I think he'll fit in well, even though I'm disappointed that we didn't hang on to MT. It will be interesting to see how JB incorporates him into the offense. Who loses PT? Or, does it stay the same, and we fight for a playoff spot with Beas as an extra body? If anyone loses time, it will be TJ and/or Clint. But, we'll have to see what kind of shape MB is in. What a season...haven't seen anything like this as a Rockets fan. As a coach, though not at the NBA level, I haven't seen such instability and the inability to execute with a talented mix of players. Some of it can be attributed to a coaching change, but in fairness, some of our failures come down to chemistry and passion. The internal issues are going to be there until the end of the season, but as professional ballers, I'm hoping our guys can leave the personal crap off of the court. I feel badly for Jet. At his age, you know he wasn't looking for this kind of season. I appreciate his loyalty and veteran leadership. He's one of our glue guys that won't give up, regardless of the record and scoreboard. The same goes for Trevor, but at least for him, there's time.
I would agree that in the past, he scored the ball well, but it doesn't seem that those times were recent at all. I may be looking only on the surface, but go to basketballreference and look at those numbers. I wouldn't pay this guy more than the federal minimum wage based on what his recent numbers show me. This kind of reeks of another Ty Lawson type move to me, though admittedly, I've only looked on the surface so far.
