    It boggles the mind how much people bytch and moan on this board about every possible MOVE from this team!! JVG WANTS TO WIN...AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!! You people are acting as though the Rox are standing pat and are NOT improving..they have the FOURTH SPOT, they are winning, and JVG is constantly tweeking what needs to be tweaked.

    What's even sadder...is that people complain so much on this board and half the time they don't know what the hell they're talking about! Not knowing the difference between MARK and MARC JACKSON is beyond pathetic. Calling people LOSERS when he has clearly one the most prolific and proficient point guards in the league is just TRIFLING.

    JVG is keeping them on their toes..he is HUNGRY and will not accept anything BUT the playoffs. If we quit WHINING SO DAYUM much..we would realize we are preparing for a Rocket liftoff into the postseason, babeeee!!:D

    2.To act, perform, or speak with little seriousness or purpose; jest.

    1) Calling people LOSERS when he has clearly one the most prolific and proficient point guards in the league is just dealing with something as if it were of little significance or value;

    2) Calling people LOSERS when he has clearly one the most prolific and proficient point guards in the league is just acting or commenting with little seriousness or purpose - you're freaking jesting right;

    3) Calling people LOSERS when he has clearly one the most prolific and proficient point guards in the league is just playing or toying with my affections

    4) all of the above

    Huh? :confused:

    ricerocket...:D :D

    I would offer:

    5) Calling people LOSERS when he has clearly one the most prolific and proficient point guards in the league is just "wrong". (as in George W. saying, "that's just wrong")

    Old and slow doesn't mean that his eye sight is too poor to see the open man, which he is proven quite capable at ... and it is apparently a rare skill. We might pay a penalty on defense, but our defense can absorb a little hit now; our offense is hurting.

    Wouldn't hurt others on the team to practice with him, either.

    Good move.

    The key point you neglected to make here is that MJackson is also part of the "crap that's floating around the fringe of the league". My worst fears have come to pass - JVG is turning the Rockets into his idea of the NY Knicks. Picking up players off the scrap heap is not the way to build a contender.

    JVG's unwillingness to play younger players (Wilks) will ultimately prove to be his undoing. Of course, that assumes that CD and the rest of the clowns in the front office can ever pull their heads out of their a**es and actually go out and FIND young talented players (Note to CD: it's known as the NBA DRAFT!).

    yes, but out of the other crap floating around the fringe, he is the big turd that doesn't stink quite as bad as the other turds.

    i kinda compare it to when we picked up eddie johnson (not in playing style, just in team impact). he was old as hell, but he found his groove. and then in the playoffs, he would sometimes be able to keep his cool hit the big shot when everyone else on the team would be panicing.

    His passing and smarts can be valuable to us. However he was # 1 in turnovers last year and how are we going to protect him on defense is another concern. I still think there isn't much risk in signing him and we might actually get some easier points while he is on the court for limited minutes.
    I don't think the Rockets had any other options as a backup PG.

    Is Fat Lever or Hot Rod Williams available? What about Mookie Blaylock or World B. Free?

    That one game should have been a revelation to all. Whoever couldn't see what happened last night has got to be blind.
