Man...How many Knicks are gonna be on this
    dang team????

    Allan Houston for Cuttino Mobley!!!!

    Give Jackson a chance...I don't think he'll be teaching
anything...but maybe he'll lead by example while
    he's flippin them assists!

    Go Rox.

Two questions need to be answered, how long and how much before anybody should jump in to biatching about the signing.

Last year, Mark Jackson ranked third in the NBA with 12.3 assists per 48 minutes.

It will be nice to have a pass first guy on the floor for a change. Hopefully, at least.

    To Kayman:
here is a link to a quick review of mark jackson for you so you can be more informed before you start running your mouth again:

    http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Rockets_Sign_Mark_Jackson-96180-34.html

my favorites are in reference to you calling him a pathetic loser (....ahem...freud, can we get you in here please?):

[]of 16 seasons mark jackson lead his team to the playoffs 12 times
[]lead the pacers to 3 consecutive eastern conference finals including a trip to the NBA finals
[]2nd all time NBA assists. (only Magic, stockon and mark jackson had more than 10,000 assists in NBA history)

in correction to someone saying Mark Jackson is starting his 20th year....Mark Jackson is a 16yr veteran of the NBA......

Jackson singing is about as significant as trading Rice for Amaechi

I gotta call BullSh*T on that....

This is a move for the post season. Some one to show our guards how to keep there composure.

This is going to prove to be a good move, watch.

This makes me very happy. I hope that Francis can learn some things from Jackson. Maybe he'll even teach him how to post up. I'm curious if Francis will see Jackson as a threat or not.

    ---------------------------

I'm not sure I understand all the animosity towards the Knicks. As I remember we went 7 games with the Knicks. They aren't quite as bad as some people would like to remember. Ewing may not have been as good as Olajuwon, but he had an excellent career and was an all-star caliber player. It is insulting to imply Ewing doesn't have anything to offer Yao.

With Weatherspoon, we got someone who might offer us a little for someone who wasn't offering us anything. That doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

Exactly, I believe its just saving him up for later on, same with the the TE in the Amaechi - Rice Trade, Made no difference at all, but hopefully in the Offseason it will help reel in some good talent

I'm sorry, I must have missed the part of the report where Jackson was singing. Or did you mean to post in a MICHAEL Jackson thread? :p

Anyway, I guess I'm a bit biased. Mark Jackson has been one of my favorite players for a long time, I've followed him ever since he was with St. John's and enjoyed watching him in the playoffs with the Pacers when they were at their prime in the mid 90's.

Of course, I have no idea how much he's got left, but he's always been a tough player who plays hard, and the person who called him a loser is obviously smoking something. Olajuwon wasn't exactly an all-star in his last couple seasons but anyone who called him a loser would deserve whatever was thrown at them.

    later,

    Jeffster :)

Mark Jackson is okay... he won't make or break us.

I never really like his style of playing back to the defender. But in doing so he protects the ball well. Plus he can feed the post. That's about all he can do. Back up, back up, back up, post entry. Boring boring player, but might be good for the Rocket's system.

You know houston for mobley would be a great deal for us. Mobley has been playing great, but Houston is one of the best shooters in the league. And if we want to play inside out, well there needs to be a great shooter. I don't think the knicks need to do this though. Houston will thrive with the penetration Marbury gets, I mean it hasn't happened yet, but it will happen at some point.

Just wanna ask where is Tim Hardaway now after he played for Pacers in the playoffs last year.

He was a different type PG compared with Marc Jackson though.

He came as a player. Not a coach. So you need to look at him that way. He's here to help us win. Many of you are going to get what you wanted all along. The experiment. Including brief stretches of Francis/Jackson with the bumper car at the point. enjoy.
