The only reason I can see Beverley not being a Rocket is if for some reason Morey can't make a key acquisition before July 10th of 2015 AND a crazy team makes a ridiculous offer to Bev the first day of free agency that forces Morey to let him walk for the sake of "Cap Flexibility". I have yet to see a good reason why A. a team would be willing to part with a substantial asset for Pat or B. the Rockets would feel the need to move him just because they want to do better at PG. Bev would be perfect for that J Jack type of role next year and beyond if they do upgrade. Its just Hollic wanting everyone to think he knows something we already don't. The move wouldn't make sense to me unless a team is dumb enough to give up a major asset for him that can immediately be flipped (and it would have to be immediate cause the Rockets can't lose Bev right now).
Geron was not a factor in Summer League. I watched every game and this is my take away. Good: Descent defender/hustle guy. Really athletic. Bad: Too small for SG, but not a PG. Can't shoot. All he can do is slash. TLDR: White Ryan Bowen with layup potential
Actually _asketballhollic says lots of things like Canaan is better right now than Jeremy Lin yada yada LOL. And he will come in and swear up and down he's better than Lin no matter what anyone says. Also said something like T. Jones won't be on roster at beginning of season LOL. Now Bevs going to be traded geeeezus LOL.
LOL! I literally just said Holy Crap! after watching that video and was about to post saying the exact same thing. Are you my twin from another dimension or something?! LOL Anyway, that dude is incredibly athletic and I don't like it when most people say that because it's like saying the sky is blue when it comes to the average NBA player but THIS dude is on another level. If this guy gets in the league he better be in the dunk contest. It was like he was dunking on an 8' rim!!
Hey _ump shooter, yes, Canaan is better than Lin is right now. But I didn't say _ones wouldn't be on the roster to start the season. I said it was 50/50. I also said at least one of _ones and DMo need to be traded and the sooner the better because we simply don't have enough minutes to develop both players. I also said _ones hasn't earned the starting PF job but it has been given to him by default. And I have said many times that _ones does not have a J and I'm not giving him one until he actually has one. You asked for it, _ump shooter. You got it. Just another member of the _OF club.
LOL. No, I'm not a _OH. Boy has some skillz. And if he had a J, he could become a great, great player. I am a realist. He doesn't have a J. And because he doesn't he is a marginal NBA player because he also is not a fantastic distributor or defender. As other posters are now recognizing, Terrence does nothing else really besides dunk the ball off Harden and Howard's misses. And you can get hundreds of guys to do that.
He's got decent form but hasn't demonstrated consistency. So, he's not accurate enough. BUT....he has the basics that can be improved upon without having to rebuild his shot from the ground up like guys like MKG and T_ones have to do. His biggest negative is probably the off-the-court stuff. Really hurt his development and he shuffled around quite a bit not having access to the best coaches. He's got talent and potential. And now he can work in RGV. What he does there as far as improvmeent will be up to him. He'll have access to everything he needs to improve his shot and D.
He can dunk like crazy. I'm guessing Morey signed him to see if he could develop him into a three point shooter under the guidance of Nevada Smith. Not a bad move at all.
Actually, this GJ guy has pretty good size for a guy that quick. If he can play defense and have a consistent reliable outside shot, I could see this team making use of a guy like that.
