He looked mighty good in there. his knack of scraping rebounds is awesom. it's one of those things you cant teach. you have to have that natural god-given talent.

I love this guy. Great hustler. Now if he could only hold onto to the ball from getting the pass.

Yayyyy here is to adding another scrub on our team. Granted I love that he has been getting rebounds like crazy but thats probably not going to last too long. He is undersized and wont get it done in the playoffs against West Forwards.

Im not usually so pessimistic, but I really cant get excited about adding guys on our team from the NBDL in the middle of the season. If I am wrong and he blows up to be the next barkely or even a starter I will be happy. But people thinking that 2nd rounders from 2 years ago and NBDL guys are going to save the team are wishing a little too much. Granted our injury stricken roster needs all the help it can get, but these guys are not going to get us anywhere.

We need to find someone to trade with and get rid of our expiring contracts already. Every year some team gets rid of a good player cuz of chemistry or cap or some other issues. Why can't we find one this year?

Not to pile on, but what makes you think he will suddenly stop rebounding. He has been doing it now for the last 5 games consistently in limited minutes.

Rebounding isn't like scoring. Teams usually don't adjust their game plans to keep one guy from rebounding.

The only way i see his rebounds going down, is if the Rockets start hitting shots.

Well I meant our expiring contracts for someone people are trying to get rid of. I dont know, I was just frustrated that the we are hoping for NBDL players to pull us out of the gutter.

I think it's hilarious the conclusions that some of you jump to... who said that this guy is going to be a starter? or Charles Barkley? Or saving the souls of the Houston Rockets? Barkley was brought up because of their similiar height and affinity for rebounding.

Most all recognize that Hayes is a great role player a la Ryan Bowen (a better one at that). A great energy guy that does the dirty work that T-Mac won't do and Yao Ming can't do (not a knock on either, just the truth)... he isn't there to shoot threes and post up. He knows exactly what he is there to do - rebound, hustle, play defense and dive on the floor. Chuck Hayes knows that, T-Mac knows that, Van Gundy knows that. Hayes is the kinda guy that isn't made for 44 minutes, but he'll give you a helluva 25 minutes.

It's a great signing. With Sura recovering, it's nice to see some heart on the court again.
