Geese, why not sign John Stockton and let him and Yao run P&R?

That will also solve our problems at PG.

We could have used oakley in the game against the suns. Amare for the dunk then oakley comes in and flagrant foul and suspended for the rest of his 10 day contract.

For those who say "if Oakley could do ____, he'd be a great addition." Think about this, if Oakley could do _____, why was there noone signing him?

Anyway, I guess it's just a 10-day deal. No harm done.

Bench young players and put old guys in. This may be JVG's coaching style.

JVG is 42 years old only, but he is somewhat blind-sided.

Amare did not abuse Padgett, look at Amare's shoot percentage at that game. I can launch 100 shots aganist Shaq but that does not mean I am abusing him.

if john stockton would have done it that would have been a much better option than Mark Jackson.

So Amares 17 free throws were the results of padgetts spectacular defense. If somebody was able to guard him then we probably won the game

well . .. we no longer have dribbling the shot clock out
but it will be around the 16 second mark by time our front court comes into the fore court

    We are now slower too

Eddie Griffin is even more of a "thug". I don't remember Oakley beating his girlfriend and shooting at her. Everyone hated Barkley till he came here too. But nothing will be right unless we bring back Rudy right?

Amare DID abuse Scott Padgett.. sure his shooting percentage was horrible, but see his free-throw shooting? THAT made the difference. Amare went past Padgett everytime, and he and the rest of the Rockets were forced to foul (whether the foul was on purpose or done accidentally while playing helping D is irrelavant). But, we needed somone in the game with a bigger body and quicker feet to stop him from getting to the basket and getting easy points from the free throw line. Also, Padget and Cato were pretty damn dumb.. all they had to do was step back 3 feet and force him to shoot the jumper... the man cant shoot if his life depended on it.

When I first heard about this I was pi..ed. WTF with signing another old Knick in their 40's. But after reading a some of these posts I'm willing give Oakley a chance. If he can still bring some toughness, rebounding and smart play that will be exactly what we need. I didn't like getting Weatherspoon but he's turned out to be a big plus over what we got out of Moochie so lets see if Oakley still has in the tank.

OTOH if these old Knicks still end up playing for the Rox next season instead of getting some younger players I would say JVG needs some counselling to get over his Knick fetish.
